Introduction to The 40 Day CommunionFire Challenge

So glad you're here!

Think about this. Communion is like Heaven's "ipad" or notebook. This is how you communicate with the Lord. The home page is "the Table He prepares before you even get there."

CommunionFire is what you see and hear and feed upon when Communion 'fires' up the program. The dark screen is suddenly dancing with the light of heaven.

The power button is on the table. When you sit down and believe you are at Jesus' Table the power of the Holy Spirit inside of you turns on the screen of your heart to see what "Apps" Jesus has prepared for you today.

When you eat the bread it opens up the "What I Want to Show You" App. Drink the wine and the "Listen to What I Want to Tell You" App opens up.

This is where we find the personal, intimate social media of Jesus. He shares His life and His love for us through the meal at His Table.

The power that pulses through this notebook is alive. It is a living, breathing true to life, multidimensional revelation that is supernatural. God's technology is so far beyond our ability to understand that Jesus said, 'do this' and I will take care of the rest.

Where is your Communion with Jesus?

Nothing will happen unless you come to his Table and eat the living meal He has prepared and provided for you because you believe.

When you 'do this' - You have instant access to His unlimited memory. The Holy Spirit has the eternal database. He is the only one allowed to share it with you. He is only allowed to share what Jesus has prepared for you and to tell you what Jesus wants you to know.

Jesus told his disciples at the final dinner, 'Do this.' and He showed them how to do this. When we do, like they did, then we have a back stage pass to meet one-on-one with the one and only Son of God, our Savior and Lord, Jesus Christ.

When we meet with Him, miracles happen. He shows us things we never imagined and tells us things no one else is capable of knowing.

Got Communion?

Jesus is the Good Shepherd who set the table in Psalm 23. He talked about His Table from the first days in the garden to the mountainside where Melchizedek brought Abraham Bread and wine. He illustrated His Table in the annals of the Laws of Moses to the days of the Kings and Prophets.

The Table of God has always been the meeting place between God and man and it is His presence that makes the Table relevant. Stories of the Ark of the Covenant to the story of the son of Jonathan, Mephibosheth we see and hear what it means to dine with God. If you study the New Testament wherever it uses the words table, feast or banquet you will learn more about the Table that Jesus is preparing each day for us and in eternity.

Psalm 23 ends "I will dwell in the House of the Lord forever" just as the return of Jesus is to bring His Bride to the Wedding Feast in His house where we will live forever. It begins when we hear Jesus standing at our door calling our name and knocking to come into our house. When we do, He comes in to dine with us and us with Him. First He sits at our table and then He leads us to His Table.

Over two years ago my wife, Camille and I decided to start having Communion every day. It was a mutual decision based on our love for Jesus and each other.

We have never looked back. Along the way in the first month or so the unexpected happened to us. We did not plan it or in any way anticipate it. We had both been active born-again, Spirit-filled Christians for over 40 years. I spent 12 of those years in full-time ministry. I have 3 children and Camille has 2 who we raised together. Despite our combined 80 years of Christian experience there were struggles and blessings along the way, but we could never have anticipated what would happen in January of 2013.

Catholic & Protestant

Camille, who had grown up as a Roman Catholic had been watching and reading about how people were being healed by the Lord through Communion in a non-catholic congregation in Singapore. I had been visiting pastors of various Roman Catholic Churches asking about The Eucharist as a side bar to my job. As an Anabaptist I was allowed to come forward in the Catholic Church to be blessed but was 'gated' from being able to receive the Eucharist (or Communion).

Several times, in the Mass, after going forward and being blessed I sat down and had a vision from the Lord. One was of the pastor of that parish blessing all the children. One was of a deacon and his wife overlooking a beautiful green pasture where there was just one strong, healthy, fruitful tree and the third time was of a young Catholic pastor becoming a bishop.

At the end of each daily post you will find a booklet that has been written to support you written from our CommunionFire experiences. You can read them right here by scrolling at the right side. None of what we post is part of the challenge. We do the posts to provide a window into our experiences. The Challenge is to come to the Lord's Table in your home or office and "do this." The Lord will take it from there. these resources will always be here so you can come back and read at your leisure. Our prayer is that you will spend a few minutes each day to do as Jesus asked and believe. your faith will be rewarded.
We Got Started By Having Communion At Home Together in Our living Room.

We started comparing notes and both felt as though the Lord was leading us to His Table. So in October of 2012 we started having Communion together whenever I was home and even on the phone if I was away. By that Thanksgiving we shared Communion at an outreach for the homeless after a thanksgiving meal at a local coffee house with a few friends and a few strangers. By December a friend had an operation and had asked if we would bring Church to their house. We agreed and shared about Psalm 23 as we felt it related to Communion. "He prepares a Table before us."
Its like the bread opens our eyes to see and the wine opens our ears to hear. When that happens we are 'in communion with Him and our heart begins to overflow with understanding.

Trying to understand this better we noticed in 2 Corinthians 4:18 that what we see with our eyes is temporary but when we see what is "unseen" it is eternal.

We thought, "Maybe through Communion our eyes are being opened by the Spirit to see the unseen!" We close our eyes to this world and suddenly see the world to come.

Look at the dark TV screen. Hit the remote and instantly there is a picture in a glass or dark glass. 2 Corinthians 3:18, 1 Corinthians 13:12

Somehow we understood that this wasn't our
imagination but revelation coming from the Lord by the Holy Spirit.

It Happened for Camille As Well!

The same thing began to happen for Camille. she ate the Bread of life and she saw Jesus as a good and kindly, loving Shepherd who sat next to her as she slept like a lamb in the green pastures. He whispered, "I love you."

When Jesus says He is the bread of life we began to understand that perhaps this is related to Communion. When we eat the bread and drink the wine of communion we will feed on what He has prepared to show us and what He wants to tell us! This continued to happen and still does every day! Its not so mystical as much as so natural it is super natural. Jesus invited us the "Do This" and then He takes care of the rest. the physical meal leads to the spiritual meal. Communion leads us into His presence. His presence is like a fire that emotes and touches us. We see the unseen and hear His voice. We feel His warmth and peace and our heart overflows with love and gratitude. Jeus said to "Do This" for a reason. He never meant for it to be an empty religious exercise or ritual.

We have documented thousands of encounters and experiences and continue to record them now in our tenth journal from just the past 30 months. (100 pages in each book on both side - that's 2,000 pages in only 2 years!

You can peruse this web site and you will find hundreds of these personal encounters and first-hand stories.

Communion Leads into CommunionFire

Communion is what led us into what we call "The Miracle of CommunionFire". We have found that there are two verses that help us understand that this fire is the Glory of God and in that Glory we encounter Jesus on a personal level.

Veil removed with an open face, we behold, as in a polished mirror, the glory of the Lord and are constantly being transformed (as by His transfiguration before us) into His very own image in ever increasing splendor and from one degree of glory to another; This happens from the Lord who is the Holy Spirit.  2 Corinthians 3:18

For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as to beam forth the Light for the revelation of the majesty and glory of God - as manifested in the Person and revealed in the face of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 4:6

We have found that the biggest 'enemy' we confront is distraction. Be prepared to fight this as you launch into your personal 40 Day Communion Challenge. Very little gets in our way except life itself. You want to go shopping - you are motivated to make time. You need to go see someone you find a way. But just try and place a bite-size piece of bread on a plate and a sip of wine or fruit  of the vine into a cup and set it down at the Table you select. Then overcome all the obstacles to divert you from this simple act of love and faith. As Jesus said, "Do this in remembrance of Me", just do it and He will take it from there.

Getting Started

Each day for the next 40 days we will provide out thoughts and insights to encourage you.

The important thing is just to take five minutes and start enjoying the meal of the bread and wine and then the feast in Jesus presence.

Turn off your cell phone, computer and I-Pad.
Turn off the TV and media and grab your coffee.
Sit down at the Lord's Table.
Give thanks for anything that comes to mind.
Ask His blessing on the bread then eat
Then on the wine and drink.

While eating the bread close your eyes to this world and look for Jesus. He is there. He is not hiding. The Holy Spirit knows you and how to reveal His presence in a way you will understand it is Him.

Do the same when drinking the fruit of the vine - listen. You may hear His voice, the whisper of the Holy Spirit or experience other things that let you know what He wants to share with you.

Alone or with someone else, when you are done make a few quick notes about what you saw, heard or experienced in a composition book or some kind of journal. (I even date it and draw quick pictures!)

Then share with each other or if alone keep your journal with you and think about what your experience was throughout the day.

Your cup will run over all day as your personal experience will feed your heart and mind all day, even for the rest of your life!

The main thing is to keep coming each day to sit down at His Table and receive His Body and Blood as bread and wine to feast on His presence. At some point the Holy Spirit will cause you to see, sense and hear. You will become more and more aware of being with Jesus. "Your eyes will 'open' and you will 'recognize' Him."

Haven't adopted daily communion, but have long believed in the reasoning behind it and its practice by many.

Thanks Mitch for your comment. We are working on completing a book on Constant Communion called "Be Bold Believe" and hope it will inspire at least weekly Communion. John Wesley uses the term "Have you communicated today?" He interchanges the word "communicated" for Communion. he points out that the Eucharist should be a regular Christian practice of faith - if possible at least 4 times per week but preferably daily. Jesus taught Communion as a daily practice of prayer when answering the disciples when they asked, "Lord, teach us to pray." When He answered He basically said, "pray this way, 'Our father in heaven, holy is your name. Make your kingdom and determination in our life real to us on earth as it is in heaven. Give us today our "day-to-day" bread. Forgive us when we trespass just as we forgive others when they trespass against us. Keep us from being led by temptation but recover us when evil prevails.' Before teaching this Jesus makes it very clear the "daily day-to-day bread" is not physical because He said 'don't pray like those who look fr the attention of men and nt God by praying in public for worldly needs because your father knows you need that before you pray. Instead pray this way: (The Our Father). the day-to-day bread had not yet been revealed as His Body and Blood - but He was preparing them for the miracle of CommunionFire. coming to the Table is the greatest "prayer" we can do. When we do we look to the meal f our bread and wine becoming the meal of His Flesh and Blood. When we dine on the physical consecrated by prayer it takes on the nature of Christ being transformed by the Holy Spirit. this meal opens our eyes to what the world cannot see or hear in the Glory of the presence of Jesus. When we encounter Him with the eyes of our spirit in the living bread of His Body and the ears of our spirit in the wine of His Blood, like the bread and wine, we are transformed from glory to glory. Encountering the image of Jesus and hearing His voice transforms us. In effect, Communion leads us into CommunionFire or the Glory of Christ's presence. It is there we can see Him and hear Him. When we do we are never the same again. Day-to-Day Bread is the Bread of Life or the Agape Meal. We feed on what appears to be bread and wine but miraculously it becomes His flesh and blood. When we feed on Him we encounter the reality of heaven on earth. (on earth as it is in heaven). This is also His provision for recovering us from the grip of evil, breaking the power of temptations we might 'feed on' outside of of the practice of His presence, and giving us a forgiving heart to forgive others as He has forgiven us. it all leads back to His Table and being consumed by His meal. "Give us this day" literally means each calendar day! In other words, "daily communion". We somehow need 21 meals a week to keep our physical body happy why shouldn't we at least give our spirit a crumb from the loaf of life and a sip from the vineyard of the angels once per day! This bread feeds us eternally and this drink refreshes us eternally. The food we eat to sustain our body only lasts until the next meal. Given the choice which meal feeds us with the greatest nutritional value? I hope you will look for our new book when it becomes available.
