True Story

Early on when Camille and I first started having Communion together and we began to understand that the Lord was always going to be at His Table when we sat down I had a first time experience that has since been repeated, including this morning.

As a young Christian we used to "Crack the Bible" open and read the first thing we would see. Te first time I did this the scripture I landed on was Matthew 6:33.

Another time I was praying for a young lady who was beside herself at sun-up and asked me to pray for her. I did and then asked her to crack the Bible and point to a scripture. She did. When I did she was crying buckets of tears and asked me to read where she was pointing. The verse she was pointing to said, "Woman, why do you weep? Who do you seek?" This was so startling she stopped crying and started smiling, That morning she gave her heart to Jesus.

The sometime about two years ago I was having Communion with Camille and while drinking the wine the Holy Spirit said, "Go to John 2:3". I felt like saying, "Well Camille, I guess this is the end of the road for this CommunionFire!" She said, "Why?" I said, "Because the Holy Spirit just said to read John 2:3!" I asked if she knew what that said and told her I had no idea. then we looked and its the verse that says, "And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him , "They have no wine."

I had just been visiting many of the pastors and churches in our area sharing about our CommunionFire experiences and 80% of the time I got what Camille calls, "The Head Tilt", as if to say, what are you talking about? What I felt like the Holy Spirit was pointing out was that in the church today, "They have no wine!" They are missing out on the one thing Jesus said to do. Why would Jesus say, "Do this to remember me!" I guarantee, when God invites us to do something He has a very very good reason!

We find no one talks about communion or asks any questions about it. When you talk to most people they say well we have communion each week, once per month, once per quarter or even once a year. Then when we ask what Communion means to them its usually something like, "Well, it makes me remember what Jesus did for me."

Jesus begins His ministry at the wedding in Cana. When He reveals His glory it is to transform the water to wine. When we have Communion, the bread of His Body and the wine of His Blood it is to see the glory of CommunionFire because in His glory we are changed from glory to glory.

Then in the temple the crowd asks for a sign from Him who just turned everything upside down and said, "Destroy this temple and in 3 days I will raise it up again." they didn't understand that Jesus was speaking about His own Body! In effect when we eat the bread of His Body, His flesh, Jesus raises us up every day!

RevivalFire comes from CommunionFire! Jesus begins His ministry talking about His Body and Blood. He continues His ministry until 'they do destroy His temple and His the transforming power of His Blood is poured out. Jesus made Himself our meal of eternal life to transform our lives from the water of this life into the wine of the life to come!

His flesh is real food and His blood is real drink. From His Table we are being prepared to become His Bride and to share the eternal Wedding Feast of His love and goodness!
John 2

The Wedding at Cana: When Jesus Reveals his Glory He turns 120 Gallons of Water into A Heaven-Made Vintage WIne! He Saved the Best for Last!

1And the third day there was a marriage in Cana of Galilee; and the mother of Jesus was there;                 2And both Jesus was called, and his disciples, to the marriage. 3And when they wanted wine, the mother of Jesus said to Him, "They have no wine."4Jesus saith unto her, Woman, what will I do with you? My hour is not yet come,  5His mother saith to the servants. "Do whatever He says." 6And there were six waterpots of stone of stone there for the purifying of the Jews,  containing two or three firkins apiece.7Jesus said to them, Fill the waterpots with water. Andthey filled them up to the brim. 8And he said to them, Draw out now and carry them to the governor of the feast. And they did.

9When the ruler of the feast had tasted the water that was made wine, and didn't know where is came from (but the servants who drew the water knew;) the governor of the feast called the bridegroom,10And said to him, "Every man at the beginning doth set out good wine; and when men have well drunk, then that which is worse: but you have kept the good wine until now. 11This beginning of miracles did Jesus in Cana of Galilee , andmanifested his glory; and His disciples believed on Him.

Jesus Cleanses the Temple

(Matthew 21:12-17; Mark 11:15-19; Luke 19:45-48)
12After this He went down to Capernaum, He, and His mother, his brethren, and his disciples: and they continued there not many days.

13And the Jews' Passover was at hand, and went up to Jerusalem, 14And found in the temple those that sold oxen and sheep and doves, and the changers of money sitting: 15And when He had made a scourge ofsmall cords, he drove them all out of the temple, andsheep, and the oxen; and poured out the changers'money, and overthrew the tables; 16And said unto them that sold doves, Take these things away; anddon't make My Father's house a house of merchandise. 17And His disciples remembered that it was written, The zeal of your house has consumed me.

18Then the Jews answered and said to Him, What sign do you show us seeing that you do these things?

19Jesus answered and said unto them, "Destroy thistemple, and in three days I will raise it up.20Then the Jews said, "It took Forty-six years to build this temple and you will rear it up in three days?

21But He spoke of the temple of His Body. 22Then when He was risen from the dead his disciplesremembered that He had said this to them; and they believed the scripture and the word which Jesushad said.

23Now when He was in Jerusalem at the Passoverin the feast day, many believed in His name, when they saw the miracles which he did. 24But Jesus did not commit Himself to them, because He knew all men,25And because He didn't need the testimony of man for He knew what was in man.
What do you believe?

This statement of the faith has been used since the early church. Before receiving Communion today, read this out loud as a profession or confession of our faith! Then when receiving the Body and the Blood, carry over this confession in your heart. You will experience the very presence of the Lord!
