We know that when Christ appears, we shall be like Him, for we shall see him as He is.
About 7 am I sat on the edge of the bed and physically, eyes wide open (not dreaming) watched as a small semi-bright cloud about 18 inches in diameter floated ground level (right to left) in front of me then into the adjoining bathroom, made a right and disappeared from view.

Then a few minutes later when Camille and I had communion:

In the bread of His Body I saw Jesus on the beach looking up at me smiling as He picked up clams from the sand. Then He gathered them all in a mesh bag for me.

When I drank the wine of His Blood, I heard the Holy Spirit say,
"This is about the cloud: Numbers 4:15"

That's a fairly random reference I thought, but I'm really learning to trust Him because He's never been wrong.
Consider Numbers 4

14 "They shall also put on it all its utensils by which they serve in connection with it: the fire pans, the forks and shovels and the basins, all the utensils of the altar; and they shall spread a cover of porpoise skin over it and insert its poles.

(packing the alter to travel to the next location)

15 "When Aaron and his sons have finished covering the holy objects and all the furnishings of the sanctuary, when the camp is to set out, after that the sons of Kohath shall come to carry them, so that they will not touch the holy objects and die. These are the things in the tent of meeting which the sons of Kohath are to carry.

16 "The responsibility of Eleazar the son of Aaron the priest is the oil for the (fire) light and the fragrant incense and the continual grain offering and the anointing oil-- the responsibility of all the tabernacle and of all that is in it, with the sanctuary and its furnishings."

The Cloud above the Tabernacle Numbers 9

…16 So it was continuously; the cloud would cover it by day, and the appearance of fire by night. 17 Whenever the cloud was lifted from over the tent, afterward the sons of Israel would then set out; and in the place where the cloud settled down, there the sons of Israel would camp. 18 At the command of the LORD the sons of Israel would set out, and at the command of the LORD they would camp; as long as the cloud settled over the tabernacle, they remained camped

Exodus 40:36
In all the travels of the Israelites, whenever the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle, they would set out;

Numbers 10:11
On the twentieth day of the second month of the second year, the cloud lifted from above the tabernacle of the covenant law.

Numbers 10:12
Then the Israelites set out from the Desert of Sinai and traveled from place to place until the cloud came to rest in the Desert of Paran.

What was the Lord saying?

In one very real sense we are sojourners on this planet as we look for the return of our Savior and King. Jesus is our Moses. The Holy Spirit is the Cloud by day and the Pillar of fire by night. We seek to follow the glory cloud of Jesus we encounter in CommunionFire! It 'appears' to us every time we have Communion! Every time! The Holy Spirit does His job very very well. He opens our spiritual eyes to see Jesus! He helps us recognize His image in the glory cloud of His presence in CommunionFire. And He is faithful to communicate any message that Jesus has given Him for us.

Jesus is the name given to The Word made Flesh. What was His name before Jesus? Jesus means He will save His people from their sins. The one who got this assignment - to become the Lamb Sacrifice for the sins of the world (before the world began) was "Logos" (The Word of God). When the Three in One collaborated about the work of salvation in created human history it was determined that The Logos would become Flesh. The very finger that crafted the Law on the tables of stone, the very Light of creation was to become like man who He had created.

When the Word became flesh, the flesh was His Temple. God literally "tabernacled' (in the flesh of Jesus - born of Mary, the Mother of God in the flesh.) From her He was birthed to be among us - the fruit of Her womb.

Then when He died, rose, ascended and took His place next to His Father's right hand He sent the Holy Spirit. Now the Holy Spirit would dwell, live in, tabernacle in the flesh of men and women who asked Jesus to baptize them in the Holy Ghost.

So the dwelling places of God, His Tabernacle in the wilderness, the temple in Jerusalem, the Body of Mary, the Body of Jesus, and now comes to reside within us by His Body and Blood by the Holy Spirit.

His work is to reveal the image of Jesus and to speak what Jesus tells Him - to us. This was just as Jesus did whatever He saw the Father do and speak only the words His Father gave Him to speak.

So when we think of the Tabernacle in the wilderness, made of skins of animals, its furnishings and objects being packed and restored again and again, from location to location, we have a picture of our life.

The Lord chose us first. Within us we have His life but only active to the degree that we follow the leading of His Holy Spirit through the eating of His Flesh and the drinking of his Blood.

We carry the bread and cup each day in the wilderness of this life from the kitchen to the porch or the fellowship hall to the sanctuary table. In Catholic settings there are special preparations and furniture from which to serve and in which to store the meal of grace and in many churches communion is available every day and several times on the week-ends.

Like the sons of Kohath we must be diligent to pay attention to the details. When we pray, "Give us this day our daily bread.' We look to be diligent to set our table with fresh bread, cup and wine. Failure to just set the table opens us up to the demons of distraction, so that is the first task. It doesn't sound like much to expect but your spiritual life depends on it.

Jesus said, "If you do not eat my flesh and drink my blood you have no life in you!" Pretty solemn statement.

Setting the table asks that we be thorough and reliable. More than those who do not commit to Communion on a regular basis, those who do understand that caring for the set-up and clean-up is all part of the Lord preparing His Table through us - in whom he dwells.

In effect we participate with Jesus to set our table that it might become His Table.

Having Daily Communion at home and in combination with others in home gatherings or in the sanctuary means that we become familiar with being capable of being in close contact with the most holy parts of the Tabernacle (albeit covered or stored) until the next time and sometimes under very stressful, challenging conditions. We must be strong for when we forget it becomes easier, not harder, to forget. Perhaps this is why Jesus said, "Do this... to remember Me"! In other words, "Don't forget to sit down with Me because you need Me, the life I have for you and because that's why I died; to have the privilege of feeding you on My presence." This one encounter each day will not only change your life forever it will change your destiny into forever.

When we sit down at the table prepared for Him and by Him it becomes His Table in the wilderness of this life. When eat the bread of His Body, the curtain of the Law is torn again - like the tearing of His Body through the breaking of the bread. As we eat, eyes closed to this world, He open our eyes to his Glory and we recognize His presence, His image. Then as we drink the wine of His Blood in His Glory he opens our ears with His voice to receive His words. When the Logos speaks it is on the Rhema (holy breath, breeze, wind, whisper of the) Holy Spirit.

In those few quick moments with Him He feeds us His life and fills us with His love. He ignites our hearts and transforms who we were to become more the person He intends us to be.

No we are under His Glory cloud of His presence in the Holy Spirit and Christ in us the hope of Glory. His glory fire burns and quickens within us while His goodness and mercy overflow from us. We are hidden in His presence (cloud) wherever we go throughout the rest of the day.

I literally saw a physical manifestation of a cloud this morning in my bedroom. I believe it was a symbol of the scripture the Holy Spirit spoke to me about in Numbers 4:15 and a promise that in His presence we will have 'plenty of clams'! Have a blessed day!

Background on the Kohathites
Q&A - Why did the Kohathites carry the holy articles on their shoulders ? I have somewhat answered this question in this post, but I wanted to elaborate a little bit more and take a look at this question from a different angle.

First of all and as I have mentioned before, the main reason for sons of Kohath had to carry the Tabernacle artifacts on their shoulders was the direct one specified in Numbers 7

9 But unto the sons of Kohath he gave none: because the service of the sanctuary belonging unto them was that they should bear upon their shoulders.

And of'course, this was due to the fact that the artifacts (particularly the Ark of The Covenant) were holy and deserved special treatment and care.

But what about the Kohathites themselves ? Would not this create an unfair burden upon them, compared to other carrier families (i.e Merarites or Gershonites) who enjoyed the relative comfort of bull-powered wagons?

The answer to this question can be found by analyzing the original text, primarily
Numbers 4:18-20 and Genesis 49:10.

1) The name, or rather, expression קהת ("kohath") means "an obedient one", sometimes "one of whom expected much" (see Gen. 49:10).

2) Now, based on Numbers 4:18-20, Genesis 49:10 and the definition of the name "Kohath" above, we can conclude that Kohathites, as people, possessed the following qualities: they were obedient and of them were expected much.

3) This means that sons of Kohath were more obedient than any other family of the Children of Israel. And this also means that the sons of Kohath were very meticulous, very thorough and very reliable, so it was expected from them, without any reservation, to transport and care for the most holy parts of the Tabernacle.

4) In other words, physical (genetic), mental and spiritual abilities of the sons of Kohath were of such qualities that would make them the only family of the Children of Israel capable of being in close contact with the most holy parts of the Tabernacle (albeit covered) for a prolonged periods of time and under very stressful, challenging conditions.

5) Of'course, their physical abilities are most underlined by the original text, which means that they were the "humble strongmen" among the Levites, exceeding in this regard the sons of Judah (see. Gen. 49:10).
CLOUDS & The Return of the Lord Jesus

16 For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet of God, and the dead in Christ will rise first. 17 Then we who are alive and remain will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we shall always be with the Lord.18 Therefore comfort one another with these words.
