Mary was chosen by God as blessed to bring into this world our Lord and Saviour, God's Son, raised by Joseph and Mary, Jesus Christ. "The Holy Family" was God's starting point to bring us all into God's Eternal Family. God chose to live with the love and care of this family for 30 years before He began to share the reality of His Kingdom with the world.
Roman Catholics the world over (just recently crossed the 1 Billion mark in terms of parishioners) have been praying The Rosary (Crown of Roses) for over 800 years. A form of Christian devotional prayer, includes prayers, such as "the Lord's Prayer", "the Hail Mary", "the Magnificat". Customarily uses 'rosary' beads as a form of discipline. The "Hail Mary" is "Hail Mary, full of grace, the Lord is with Thee. Blessed art Thou among women, and Blessed is the Fruit of Thy Womb, Jesus." Luke 1:26-38 In the Eastern Orthodox Church this song was written by Early Church Father St Athanasius: "Today is the beginning of our salvation, And the revelation of the eternal mystery! The Son of God becomes the Son of the Virgin As Gabriel announces the coming of Grace.Together with him let us cry to the Theotokos:"Rejoice, O Full of Grace, the Lord is with you!" Non-Catholic Christians tend to less emphasis on the miraculous value and importance of God's decision to choose Mary and Joseph as His Holy Family for the raising of His Son, Jesus. Communion also tends to be more a memorial than a Table to meet with the Lord. However, renewal through the Eucharist/Communion is needed in all of Christendom by all branches worldwide in preparation for the Lord's Return! Jesus is and will completely answer the prayer of John 17. For "Jerusalem which above is free, is the mother of us all." The hope of the Resurrection is realized through (See John 6:25-68) Communion. Galatians 4:26 Affiliated with this historic approach to devotional praying are "The 20 Mysteries" in 4 Categories. The Rosary has developed organically with changes and developments over the centuries. (See https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rosary)
