They believed because they saw His glory revealed to them in having Communion from house to house. They watched how His reality became their reality. Jesus is the Word made flesh and His essence is love providing the way into His presence (the truth) where we encounter Him as our (bread) of life.
This life is the light as Jesus is the light of the world. (John 1) In His presence there is no darkness and no shadow, The laws of physics (the natural realm) are replaced by the law of the Spirit of life (His super-natural realm - the realm of Hi Kingdom). Here we encounter the 'truth' of His 'reality', eternal wonders and mysteries filled with limitless grace and eternal, heart-pounding love. Alétheia: Truth - Definition: truth, but not merely truth as spoken; truth of idea, reality, sincerity, truth in the moral sphere, divine truth revealed to man, straightforwardness.from 227 /alēthḗs, "true to fact" – properly, truth (true to fact), reality.[In ancient Greek culture, 225 (alḗtheia) was synonymous for "reality" as the opposite of illusion, i.e. fact.] Truth is to: Realize Recognize and Perceive the Truth, the Reality of Fact When we encounter Jesus, we get a taste of His "eternal reality". It is more real than the chair you are sitting in. His reality is almost too good! In His presence is fullness of joy and at His right hand are pleasures forevermore. When we think of Him, having tasted His presence, we have perfect, complete peace. This is His peace. It has no toxins, no corruption, no guilt, no shame, no condemnation. His peace triggers the work of healing, restoration, provision, renewal and it revives us again and again in His real, true eternal presence and power deepening our Communion with Him. "He died, rose and revived that He might be Lord of your life." Romans 14:9 John 1:14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the one and only Son, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth (the reality of the presence of Jesus). John 1:17 For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth (eternal forgiveness, healing, provision we find in His presence) came by Jesus Christ. John 4:23 But the hour comes, and now is, when the true worshipers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth (The presence of Jesus): for the Father seeks such to worship him. John 8:32, 36 And you shall know the truth (the reality of My presence), and the truth (reality of my presence in your life) shall make you free... If the Son therefore shall make you free, you shall be free indeed. John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth (the true, eternal reality), and the life: no man comes to the Father, but by me.
