But those who wait on the Lord Shall renew their strength; They shall mount up with wings like eagles, They shall run and not be weary, They shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31(NKJV)

"She was homeless but whenever I offered to help out she took me to lunch! So I would pick her up and head out of town and let her buy me a dollar hamburger and small soda. I went a little out of town because I didn't want others to misconstrue a homeless person buying me lunch. Then one day she asked to be taken to Walmart to pick up a few things she needed. As I got out of the car with her I was nervous. Who will I run into what will they think... as these kinds of thoughts an through my mind the Lord said, "I am the King of kings and the Lord of lords and I'm not ashamed to be seen with... YOU!" It was a profound moment, life changing." A personal story shared under the Surfside Pier.

It was that kind of morning.

It has become increasingly obvious that among our small ranks something has happened. Our lives are being touched by the Lord in a way that our vulnerability to others and our overflow from the blessings received at The Lord's Table overflow to others in our daily lives.
Sharon: I saw a target in front of me just before I had Communion then in the bread of life as I ate I saw an eagle's head and then the drawing of an eagle in flight in front of me on a piece of paper. In the wine of Jesus' blood the eagle took off from the paper and started soaring into the sky! Isaiah 40:31 has always been my life scripture, like a theme to me.
Bob: as soon as I ingested the Bread of Jesus' flesh I heard "Its springtime in heaven!" and then "That is... many springs flowing, pouring out from heaven on you" then in the wine of Jesus' blood the voice of the Lord continued, "Pouring out My eternal life in you."
Camille: As I ate the Blessed Bread I saw Jesus in the Bread and He just said, "Everlasting Life!" and then as I had he blessed wine Jesus held the wine and toasted us! (As if for all eternity it was the one thing He always looked forward to.)
Joe: I don't usually see something but right away I saw pages flying... I think it was a Bible... then with the Wine I got my super peace... (Joe just received a Bible from his wife this week... and said... maybe I'm supposed to read more Scriptures!)

Picture
Mary: In the bread I thought of Jesus welcoming the little children and then in the wine I heard John Denver singing "Fly Away" (Are you kidding!? Wow!)
Veronica: I was thinking about a prophecy someone gave me in 2010  and as we prayed, "Lord I want to do more for you!" Then when I received the Bread of Jesus' flesh The Lord said, "Now is the time! The best is yet to come! Then when I had the cup of the precious blood, the Spirit said, "Hold-On!!!!"  Note: It has begun - "Little Missions to Pray with People"
George: I couldn't stop from thinking about a show that I saw about Divine Intervention. One motorcyclist was struck by lightning and when the paramedics had given him up a lady appeared and placed a Bible on his chest and then she got up and left and the man was came back to life. There was another story about a fireman, seasoned veteran who was surrounded by fire and he knelt down knowing this was probably it for him and a lady showed up in his line of vision and she pointed toward a wall. He got up and went there and when he pushed on the wall it was a door and he fell through it to the parking lot!
Don: I saw a flat bright laser light come through between the bottom of a door and the floor and the light digitized into a human form and it was Jesus surrounded by the light of glory. Then I saw the stone rolled away.. and in my heart I felt like shouting "Ta-Dah!"

Twenty-second Sunday in Ordinary Time
Lectionary: 126

Reading
1 SIRACH 3:17-18, 20, 28-29

My child, conduct your affairs with humility,
and you will be loved more than a giver of gifts.
Humble yourself the more, the greater you are,
and you will find favor with God.
What is too sublime for you, seek not,
into things beyond your strength search not.
The mind of a sage appreciates proverbs,
and an attentive ear is the joy of the wise.
Water quenches a flaming fire,
and alms atone for sins.

Responsorial Psalm Psalm 68:4-5, 6-7, 10-11

R. (cf. 11b) God, in your goodness, you have made a home for the poor.

The just rejoice and exult before God;
they are glad and rejoice.
Sing to God, chant praise to his name;
whose name is the LORD.

R. God, in your goodness, you have made a home for the poor.

The father of orphans and the defender of widows
is God in his holy dwelling.
God gives a home to the forsaken;
he leads forth prisoners to prosperity.

R. God, in your goodness, you have made a home for the poor.

A bountiful rain you showered down, O God, upon your inheritance;
you restored the land when it languished;
your flock settled in it;
in your goodness, O God, you provided it for the needy.

R. God, in your goodness, you have made a home for the poor.

Reading 2 HEBREWS 12:18-19, 22-24A

Brothers and sisters:
You have not approached that which could be touched
and a blazing fire and gloomy darkness
and storm and a trumpet blast
and a voice speaking words such that those who heard
begged that no message be further addressed to them.
No, you have approached Mount Zion
and the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem,
and countless angels in festal gathering,
and the assembly of the firstborn enrolled in heaven,
and God the judge of all,
and the spirits of the just made perfect,
and Jesus, the mediator of a new covenant,
and the sprinkled blood that speaks more eloquently than that of Abel.

Alleluia
 MATTHEW 11:29AB

R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Take my yoke upon you, says the Lord,
and learn from me, for I am meek and humble of heart.

R. Alleluia, alleluia.

Gospel
 LUKE 14:1, 7-14

On a sabbath Jesus went to dine
at the home of one of the leading Pharisees,
and the people there were observing him carefully.

He told a parable to those who had been invited,
noticing how they were choosing the places of honor at the table.
“When you are invited by someone to a wedding banquet,
do not recline at table in the place of honor.
A more distinguished guest than you may have been invited by him,
and the host who invited both of you may approach you and say,
‘Give your place to this man,’
and then you would proceed with embarrassment
to take the lowest place.
Rather, when you are invited,
go and take the lowest place
so that when the host comes to you he may say,
‘My friend, move up to a higher position.’
Then you will enjoy the esteem of your companions at the table.
For every one who exalts himself will be humbled,
but the one who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Then he said to the host who invited him,
“When you hold a lunch or a dinner,
do not invite your friends or your brothers
or your relatives or your wealthy neighbors,
in case they may invite you back and you have repayment.
Rather, when you hold a banquet,
invite the poor, the crippled, the lame, the blind;
blessed indeed will you be because of their inability to repay you.
For you will be repaid at the resurrection of the righteous.”

"Fly Away"
By John Denver

All of her days have gone soft and cloudy, all of her dreams have gone dry.
All of her nights have gone sad and shady, She's getting ready to fly.
Fly away, fly away, fly away.

Life in the city can make you crazy for sounds of the sand and the sea.
Life in a high-rise can make you hungry for things that you can't even see.
Fly away, fly away, fly away.

In this whole world there's nobody as lonely as she,
there's nowhere to go and there's nowhere that she'd rather be.
She's looking for lovers and children playing, she's looking for signs of the spring.
She listens for laughter and sounds of dancing, she listens for any old thing.
Fly away, fly away, fly away .

In this whole world there's nobody as lonely as she,
there's nowhere to go and there's nowhere that she'd rather be.
All of her days have gone soft and cloudy, all of her dreams have gone dry.
All of her nights have gone sad and shady, She's getting ready to fly.
Fly away, fly away, fly away, fly away.

Where are my days, where are my nights? Where is the Spring? I wanna fly, I wanna fly:

Conclusion
of July 17

From the Graphe/Scriptures

Here are Some of the Principles of

The Logos/Jesus shared by

The Phos and Rhema of the Holy Spirit

This 4 Part Series was written to give you an inside out look of what happens in the spectrum of Christ's Glory we call CommunionFire.

CommunionFire is the end purpose produced in Communion or Holy Communion: Communion in various traditions is referred to as: The Eucharist, The Holy Eucharist, The Divine Liturgy, Sacrament of Sacraments, The Sacrament of The Church, The Lord's Supper, The Last Supper, Holy Offering or Qurbana.

Matthew 26; Mark 14; Luke 22; John 6 and 13-17; Acts 2.41–47; 1 Corinthians 10–11

"I am the living bread which came down from heaven; if anyone eats of this bread, he will live forever; and the bread which I shall give for the life of the world is my flesh" John 6.51

"Work for food that endures to eternal life, which the Son of Man will give you. For on him, God the Father has placed his seal of approval.” John 6:27

“I am the bread of life. Whoever comes to me will never go hungry, and whoever believes in me will never be thirsty." John 6:35

"I shall lose none of all those he has given me, but raise them up at the last day.
For my Father’s will is that everyone who looks to the Son and believes in him shall have eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.” John 6:39-40

"I will raise them up at the last day." John 6:44b

"I am the living bread that came down from heaven. Whoever eats this bread will live forever. This bread is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.”
John 6:51

"
Unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood,
you have no life in you.

"Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood
has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day."

"For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them." John 6:53-56

"Whoever feeds on this bread will live forever.” John 6:58

Matthew and Mark describe the Last Passover and then the New Passover as those who were on hand to witness the event.

Paul describes How To Do the Communion to the Corinthian church as it was taught personally to Him by the Lord Jesus and not the other Apostles.

Luke (not one of the 12 who was not at the Last Supper but only became a believer
after the Apostle Paul.

(Luke went on to write The Gospel and then the Early Church Journal of the Book of Acts). Luke describes the New Passover during the course of the Old Passover as it was taught to him by Paul by way of interviews but specifically directly from his personal interviews with The Holy Virgin, Mother Mary the Theotokos.

In some traditions Luke's Gospel is also referred to "As told to Luke by Jesus Mother, Mary by the leading of the Holy Spirit."
Second Corinthians 3

Passover (Law) vs. Communion (Jesus)
One is veiled the Other is unveiled
The glory of the former is hidden
The Glory of the Second is superior, revealed and transforms us

1
Are we beginning to commend ourselves again? Or do we need, like some people, letters of recommendation to you or from you? 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everyone.

3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts.

4 Such confidence we have through Christ before God. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant--

not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life.

7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, transitory though it was,

8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that brought condemnation was glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 11 And if what was transitory came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts!

12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to prevent the Israelites from seeing the end of what was passing away. 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is the veil taken away.

15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts.

16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away.

17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

CommunionFire is what happens Communion

18 And we all, who with unveiled faces behold the Glory of the Lord, are being transformed into his image from one degree of glory to another, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.
Second Corinthians 4

1 Therefore, since through God’s mercy we have this ministry, we do not lose heart. 2 Rather, we have renounced secret and shameful ways; we do not use deception, nor do we distort the word of God. On the contrary, by setting forth the truth plainly we commend ourselves to everyone’s conscience in the sight of God. 3 And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing.  4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel that displays the glory of Christ, who is the image of God. 5 For what we preach is not ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus’ sake.

6 For God, who said, “Let light shine out of darkness,” made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of God’s glory displayed in the face of Christ.

7 But we have this treasure in jars of clay to show that this all-surpassing power is from God and not from us.

8 We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed, but not in despair; 9 persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed.

10 We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body. 11 For we who are alive are always being given over to death for Jesus’ sake, so that his life may also be revealed in our mortal body. 12 So then, death is at work in us, but life is at work in you.

13 It is written: “I believed; therefore I have spoken.” Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak, 14 because we know that the one who raised the Lord Jesus from the dead will also raise us with Jesus and present us with you to himself.

15 All this is for your benefit, so that the grace that is reaching more and more people may cause thanksgiving to overflow to the glory of God.

16 Therefore we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. 17 For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all.

18 So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.

Second Corinthians 5

1 For we know that if the earthly tent we live in is destroyed, we have a building from God, an eternal house in heaven, not built by human hands. 2 Meanwhile we groan, longing to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling,3 because when we are clothed, we will not be found naked. 4 For while we are in this tent, we groan and are burdened, because we do not wish to be unclothed but to be clothed instead with our heavenly dwelling, so that what is mortal may be swallowed up by life. 5 Now the one who has fashioned us for this very purpose is God, who has given us the Spirit as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
6 Therefore we are always confident and know that as long as we are at home in the body we are away from the Lord. 7 For we live by faith, not by sight. 8 We are confident, I say, and would prefer to be away from the body and at home with the Lord. 9 So we make it our goal to please him, whether we are at home in the body or away from it. 10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each of us may receive what is due us for the things done while in the body, whether good or bad. 11 Since, then, we know what it is to fear the Lord, we try to persuade others. What we are is plain to God, and I hope it is also plain to your conscience. 12 We are not trying to commend ourselves to you again, but are giving you an opportunity to take pride in us, so that you can answer those who take pride in what is seen rather than in what is in the heart. 13 If we are “out of our mind,” as some say, it is for God; if we are in our right mind, it is for you. 14 For Christ’s love compels us, because we are convinced that one died for all, and therefore all died. 15 And he died for all, that those who live should no longer live for themselves but for him who died for them and was raised again.
16 So from now on we regard no one from a worldly point of view. Though we once regarded Christ in this way, we do so no longer.

17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here! 18 All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: 19 that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting people’s sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation.

20 We are therefore Christ’s ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf: Be reconciled to God.

21 God made him who had no sin to become sin for us, so that in him we might be the righteousness of God in Christ.

While surrounded by the chaos of this world, He is busy converting us and transforming us and conforming us to the Eternal Reality of His Kingdom.

How?

Communion. The Eucharist. The Lord's Supper. The Qurbana...
Jesus Flesh & Blood as Bread and Wine

Through the broken "veil" of His Flesh given to each one of us by Him as living manna from our bread, we forget this world for a moment and enter His reality. In His presence we get a glimpse of Him and He opens the eyes of our spirit to see what He has prepared for us. Even one quick moment continues to open up and unfold throughout the rest of our life. It is an eternal seed that continues to grow and multiply. Then there we encounter a "river of life" that flows from His heart into ours. His love flows in the form of heaven's wine coursing into your body and influencing every nerve and cell, spirit, soul and body.

His Invitation to dine at His Table and to dine on what He had prepared for us through a morsel and a sip of His Flesh and Blood as real food, is like a key that starts your spirit engine. The fuel of His meal and the spark of the Holy Spirit awakens and quickens your spirit and translates you into His eternalness!

Here's what each person encountered or experienced on sunday under the Surfside Pier!

Picture
Bob: (what His Bread fed me) "The footprints in the sand are like others you see who have gone before you in sharing the Communion since I walked on the earth." (What His Wine poured into me) The message was "This morning you are surrounded on the beach with a heavenly cloud of witnesses." Hebrews 12:1

George: I remembered the miracle Jesus did with the loaves and fishes because the crowds were hungry. Then I could see Jesus preaching to the multitudes from the boat.John 6:5-13; Mark 3:8-9

Sharon: "I saw a flashlight buried in the sand but it pointed up and filled the darkness with light like a broad " V ". Then I saw chaos in the darkness round the light. And then I saw that the chaos was in the world but not in the light of Jesus shining from the sand." (Psalm 23 "He prepares a table for us in the presence "chaos" of our enemies; also John 1:1-5) Then the Lord said, "I love to tell you stuff that makes you think!"

Mary C.: "I have to share this. I had that chaos all week that Sharon spoke of. But in the Communion this morning as I listened to the waves, it was like being washed in the peace of Jesus." (Psalm 93)

Mary M. shared that with His bread of life Jesus showed me that we were surrounded by His perfect light right on the beach where we are. Then His Precious Blood the same message, "You are surrounded by the light of Christ.".James 1:17; 1 John 1:5

Camille: "Oh now I have to share! I saw a rainbow surrounding us and moving around us as I had The Holy Communion.' Jesus was surrounding us with Promise!" Revelation 4:1-4; Psalm 36:8-10

Don: I can't explain this and I might need help but when I had the bread I saw an egg floating right in front of me. in the wine Don saw the egg start to spin and two hands like those of a magician on either side and as the egg began to spin, it turned into, became the earth spinning.
In the 40 days between Resurrection and Pentecost, Jesus shared about the realities of His Eternal Kingdom. Clothed in His resurrected body in the face of this temporal world He appeared to the disciples and Apostles. He appeared to be like a flashlight planted in the sand, lighting the way to eternal life.

After He ascended, He sent His Holy Spirit to all who believed.

They have been leaving their imprints in the sands of this planet one generation after another for almost 2000 years as a witness to those of us who follow. (Even under the Surfside Pier in South Carolina!)

He is still here.

He's never left us or forsaken us.

When us eggheads believe, we are hanging in space without purpose or direction. He comes to us in the real food of bread and wine. By His loving hands it "becomes" His Flesh & Blood, if you believe. So then, Be Bold Believe!

Then we are invited to dine with Him at His Table, for the meal He has prepared just for you. In that meal He continues to translate us into the reality of His realm, His Kingdom by sharing, surrounding us in His presence.

* Heaven surrounds us with a huge sky of bright clouds above, as eternal witnesses from heaven's grandstand; in the face of this world that surrounds us in its chaos! And in the sand below, Jesus opens our eyes to see a million footprints in the sand of those who also were led to His Table of goodness and mercy.

* When we gather at His Table (though surrounded by our enemies) the sounds of His waves of grace pounds our hearing with songs from his oceans of love as far as the eye can see to flood us with heavenly joy and peace..

* There He feeds us as He did the multitudes of 4,000 and the 5,000 in the open countryside. He does not with feed us with bread and fish or heavenly manna and gourmet quail from the sky. He feeds us with Himself. He comes to us as Heaven-infused and prepared Meal. It is a morsel of the "new eternal manna" and a sip of living water turned to wine in His glory that He calls His Flesh & Blood.

* He surrounds us in His perfect pure presence as the light streaming of heaven and as He places His hands upon the bread and wine we bring to Him the light turns into a pulsating rainbow of His Promise encircling our hearts, minds and bodies. As it surrounds us we are translated for a moment to catch a glimpse of the King in His glory or the Shepherd in His field or the mighty Creator of time and space to become transformed to be, like Him; Full of Grace and Truth!

CommunionFire embraces us for just a moment. We get one quick glimpse and discover spiritual cognizance of the gracious power of The Holy Spirit. He reveals the Glory of Jesus Christ. It is greatest when we are in at His Table in Communion with Him just as He prescribes. This awareness is heightened even more if we are still for a moment. He opens our eyes in His presence (the CommunionFire) and and our ears to hear the Spirit is saying from the mouth of Jesus.

As we looked out into the Ocean beyond the Pier someone said, "George! Look its the boat!" As though Jesus had been looking towards us and preaching all the time! Just a glimpse of His face and we see and hear all eternity.

Take me home Emmaus Road! : )

24 hours later:

I forgot to finish that in the wine Don saw the egg start to spin and two hands like those of a magician on either side and as the egg began to spin, it turned into, became the earth spinning.

Newton's Laws of motion? (see below)

What might the same principle be in the realms of Jesus Christ - from the physical translation/transition/transformation into the Spirit? We are "at rest" in Christ while surrounded by chaos. While surrounded by chaos, He is busy converting us, transforming us and translating his realm into our lives, thoughts, motivations and speech - and we are hardly aware of the power of His grace constantly at work within us and in all situations around us. Our spiritual cognizance of the gracious power of His glory is perhaps greatest when we are in communion with Him as He prescribed it.

When Don shared with us what he encountered and experienced during communion in the CommunionFire, the imagery was explained by a third grader sitting with us as she explained anything can happen when "we rest in the Lord", even if an outside force tries to upset us. The law of the Lord is perfect bringing conversion to His design to restore our soul (mind, will and emotions).

"For the Law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set us free from the Law of sin and death! Romans 8:2

And if that same Spirit that raised christ from the dead dwells in you He shall quicken you mortal body! Romans 8:10-14

While "at rest" at His Table we are being constantly transformed by feeding on His grace, love, life, mercy and goodness first as a morsel of bread and sip of wine - that when He blesses it it becomes for us a meal of His Word become Flesh and Blood that like a fire consumes what is not from Him and purifies and tempers all that is eternal from Him. In His presence through the veil of His flesh and blood we encounter and experience all that He prepares personally for us each moment we dine at His Table.

Newton's Laws - Lesson 1 - Newton's First Law of Motion

(Though known as one of the great minds of science in all of history he was also, and perhaps an even greater, Christian Theologian!

By the way, Sir Isaac Newton

Newton's First Law
  • Newton's First Law
  • Inertia and Mass
  • State of Motion
  • Balanced and Unbalanced Forces
In a previous chapter of study, the variety of ways by which motion can be described (words, graphs, diagrams, numbers, etc.) was discussed. In this unit (Newton's Laws of Motion), the ways in which motion can be explained will be discussed. Isaac Newton (a 17th century scientist) put forth a variety of laws that explain why objects move (or don't move) as they do. These three laws have become known as Newton's three laws of motion. The focus of Lesson 1 is Newton's first law of motion - sometimes referred to as the law of inertia.

Newton's first law of motion is often stated as: An object at rest stays at rest and an object in motion stays in motion with the same speed and in the same direction unless acted upon by an unbalanced force.
Partakers of His Divine Nature!

It is interesting that when we did the Lilly of the Valley exercise and the word was "Jesus" 3  people said they saw shafts of light breaking through a dark, overcast sky. Sunrays or "Son Rays" breaking through like a shaft of light or shafts. One saw the face of Jesus, another saw the sideview face of Jesus and I saw Jesus sitting on a stone surrounded by children. (Bridget was too shy at that moment to share) The other person saw and felt "LOVE" at just the name of Jesus. We are His children and the sheep of His pasture.

CommunionFire translates or communicates from heaven because of our utter and total dependence on Jesus, no matter our condition.

Jesus shares His love and life and when He does we are being made whole. He is busy transforming us by the sheer power of the life and love He feeds us by pulling back the veil of this life to share His presence with us right now. It is but that single, simple "taste" that enables us to "see"

O taste and see that the Lord is good. It is the goodness of God that brings us into the realm of His ability to transform us and make us whole.

Jesus said to them, “Very truly I tell you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you. 54 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise them up at the last day.55 For my flesh is real food and my blood is real drink. 56 Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood remains in me, and I in them. 57 Just as the living Father sent me and I live because of the Father, so the one who feeds on me will live because of me

Okay - so then there is the ray of light or shafts of light breaking in overhead down upon us. Jesus is the light that lights upon every person that comes into the world. He is the light that continually shines in the darkness and that the darkness cannot, will not and refuses to comprehend. But no matter, Jesus says in John 6,  "If anyone believes, they have eternal life" and that "He will raise them up on the last day" and "when He appears we shall be like Him for we shall see Him as He is."   1 John 3:2

The Testimony of Jesus
(How Jesus Communicates His Life to Us in Communion with Him)

The 1st Hand Witness of His Testimony in CommunionFire
(How He Weaves us into the Fabric of His Story Personally)

Overcomers of Death and Darkness in Him and we are transformed by Him to Become More Than Conquerors Through Him.

Revelation 12:9-12
And the great dragon was thrown down, that ancient serpent, who is called the devil and Satan, the deceiver of the whole world—he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. And I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. 12 Therefore, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them! But woe to you, O earth and sea, for the devil has come down to you in great wrath, because he knows that his time is short!”

Revelation 19:9-13
9 And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” 10 Then I fell down at his feet to worship him, but he said to me, “You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God.” For the testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy. 11 Then I saw heaven opened, and behold, a white horse! The one sitting on it is called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he judges and makes war. 12 His eyes are like a flame of fire, and on his head are many diadems, and he has a name written that no one knows but himself. 13He is clothed in a robe dipped in blood, and the name by which he is called is The Word of God..."

This is how the Lord hurls down the dragon who is constantly day and night making accusations against individuals the Church: By the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Their story is a day to day story of an eternal relationship and union with Jesus Christ through his Flesh and Blood. He shares His story with us personally and applies His life and love to ours and the result is that we become 1st hand witnesses of His grace, mercy, love and goodness. when we witness or share with other s the light of Christ in our lives, it splits their darkness and hurls the dragon out of the picture and the light of Jesus rules and reigns at least for that brief, shining, eternal moment and it is enough light of his glory within us and glory revealed in His presence that we are bathed in His glory and we feed on his glory and are thereby transformed by His glory from one degree of glory to another. Jesus wants His testimony to become our story. As His witnesses in CommunionFire our relationship with Him increases in every communion. that is why the Revelator, prophet St. John, the Apostle declares for the Lord in Revelation 19:10 that,

"The Testimony of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy."
Prophecy = propheteia/propheteuo/prophetes = the gift of communicating (in communion with) and enforcing revealed truth (revelation of His realm or reality); from the root words:

Pro (of place: before or in front of; or beforehand) + Phemi (shine, Bring To LIGHT (revelation from what is hidden treasure to be opened and seen, what was in darkness now seen in the light of Jesus presence - Psalm 36:9, Isaiah 45:1-8) elevating one idea over another (as providing 'forward motion' as shared by Jesus (The Word - Logos - life source) through the power of the Holy Spirit (The Logos pronounced/breathed as Rhema - the Life Giver/Giving) as heaven's communication through our Communion - (with/by) Jesus surrounding us in His glory outwardly and His glory within us as his blood speaks or communicates with us giving us remembrances and even sharing about things forward in time from the next hour to the final hour in His CommunionFire.

Jesus comes to us Himself as The Word made Flesh, by His Flesh (transformed bread as heavenly bread, not like O.T. manna but N.T. hidden Manna with His eternal (DNA) properties as food and drink for your spirit). By The Word as His Blood we drink, (in the physical transformed wine - He demonstrated this by his first miracle John 2:3-12) as He did when He was conceived within his Mother Mary. In His presence through the veil of his flesh, broken and torn to make a way for us and His presence within us as the wine of His Blood courses through our physical body awakening, reviving and filling us with the Fire of His Word within us. We partake of that divine nature which He has prepared specifically as the "meal" He has perfectly prepared for you personally in each and every Communion encounter or experience. One mosel of bread and one sip of wine, blessed  by Him and received from Him physically at His Table, becomes the New Manna that feeds, nourishes and fills your spirit with revelation of eternal life and promise of rapture. By this we become partakers day-to-day or as often as you do this. from the root words:

Phos: Light, source of light, radiance (Jesus)
especially in terms of what He manifests, reveals, shares, manifestation of god's self-existent life to us personally through our relationship in Communion with His Son by His Spirit. Divine illumination to reveal and impart life, (like a shaft of light piercing through a dark overcast sky straight into your heart and mind from Jesus, the source.

(1 Corinthians 13:12; 2 Corinthians 3:18 (7-18); 4:18 (1-18); 5:17(1-21))

Phaino: To bring to light, cause to appear (Prolongation for the base of
phos; to lighten (shine), Show (transitive or intransitive, literal or figurative) -- appear, seem, be seen, shine, X think) As the action of Jesus in CommunionFire what He shows you/us; or what we see when He appears; He is the action - we may look upon Him, His face or even His foot on a marble floor (as my wife saw in Communion this morning); His presents reveals presents! He shares His promises, assurance, healing, wholeness in clearer and clearer ways to us.

John 1:15-18 (grace upon grace), Romans 5:14-16 (greater grace) Acts 4:32-24 (great/abundant grace); Psalm 84:7, Psalm 84 All (Strength to strength); Romans 1:16-17 (Faith to faith); 2 Corinthians 3:16-18 (Glory to glory)

Lego: To say, speak, tell (originally, "lay down to sleep," used later of "laying an
argument to rest," i.e. bringing a message to closure) to break the silence, lay out and bring to conclusion, lay to rest - ongoing speech as in prayer tongues, worship, praising God with utterances; in CommunionFire to encounter the telling, sharing, voice of the Lord by His Spirit in the Bread of life/revelation (Flesh) or especially in the Wine of life/fire (Blood) that speaks of better things than that of Abel. from further roots "Epo", "Phemi", "Rheo", "Laleo"

Psalm 29, Hebrews 12:24, 29 (18-29); Exodus 23:20-33 and all of 24, John 4, 14-16 (The Spirit of truth speaks - as The Presence of Jesus, as the/from the reality and realm of Jesus - a flash of light  can "say, tell, speak" without words, a location "over here, over there, at 10 o'clock or 5 o'clock "I saw..." speaks without words but the description speaks, "rays" or "shaft of light" pouring down upon your heart and then/or springing up within like a fountain into your thoughts a from the spirit/heart by the power of the Holy Spirit - like seeing a 'sign on the road' that gives further direction or warning. The voice of the Lord speaks and tells and says sometimes with words verbally, or without words by pictures and understood inferences, feelings, sense, or simple clear mindedness as in discerning something you had no other way of knowing except that it was "given" you.

And there is more set of "Amazingnesses" from #CommunionUnderthePier on July 17. More tomorrow... all this happened within the space of one hour 10am - 11am! I have spent 12 hours in research and writing alone already... but there is one more set of phenomenons that must be examined. Have a blessed day! #gotcommunion?

The Miracles of CommunionFire
You Can't Make This Stuff Up

Jennifer (Mom) and Bridget (Daughter) came with Mary M.  this morning from the Lancaster area of Pennsylvania.

As folks arrived and set up their beach chairs around our bodyboard table we had a chat with young Bridgette. Her favorite subject is writing. She helped her Mom set up and organize the VBS program last week at home and they were here on vacation.

Our new format is to share the Apostle's Creed, some words of encouragement about Communion and then to share the communion.table. Our floors are of sand, the roof is the Surfside Pier and our view is the endless ocean of God's love and waves of grace pounding our hearts about every 5 seconds.

Now when I woke up this morning the Lord said, "Suffer the children to come to Me". This invitation we see in Matthew 19:14, Mark 10:14 and Luke 18:16. In Communion we understand that means to not hinder children from faith or the Lord's table. Then the Lord said to take a certain book, "Heaven Changes Everything" as a gift for a visitor today when I was prepping to go to the beach. The third thing He indicated to me was that He wanted me to share from Luke 11 after Communion.

We arrived just before Mary, Mary, Jennifer and Pennsylvania 3rd grader, Bridget. I immediately knew the book was for her but asked first if she like reading? She said yes and I gave her the book!

After Sharon, cousin Don, George arrived we got started. We shared the Apostle's Creed as the call to worship and then for the guests we did the CommunionFire 'Consider the Lilies' exercise. The word we used today was "Jesus". Basically everyone closes their eyes and I say a word, sometimes it is 'flower' sometimes 'treasure' but this morning it was "Jesus".

We each shared what we "saw or thought about" when we heard His name. Having done this I went on to share.

Communion is a bit like that exercise. I asked Bridgette, "What is your favorite food?" She smiled and drooled out loud, "Pizza!" Then I said what is your least favorite food and she snarled a perfect snarl and said, "Sauerkraut" as though the word were as bad as the taste! We all enjoyed her sharing.

I asked, "Did you see Bridgette remember the taste and then shared her reaction? One was a big happy drooling grin and the other was a sour snarl."

Food not only empowers us physically but also awakens our thinking, imaginations and emotions. (Soul = mind, will and emotions + Body (physical bones, skin and organs) We need food to survive.

In the ongoing gifts of grace, life and love Communion brings us Jesus makes it a heavenly food that feeds our spirit by his Spirit inside us physically. At the same time it also brings us into His presence where we are, as we are for who we are. We encounter His glory and when we do we are transformed from one degree of glory to another.

The Bread of Heaven He calls His Flesh
That He Gives for the Life of Each One of Us

"That's how it is for us in Communion. When we ask the Lord to bless the bread this morning, He does!

When He does, His blessing lets us taste His presence. When we do (though our physical eyes are closed), the simple eating of the bread opens the eyes of our spirit. We may see and recognize Him, His presence and/or what He has prepared in the bread for us to experience. The bread this morning was gluten free prepared by Mary M. (Mary is the designated Sunday morning bread bringer.) but after Jesus blessed it and we give thanks, it becomes something else. It became a supernatural food that gave us new life as we ate.

Jesus calls it "His flesh given for the life of the world!" He says, "If you eat it you are in His presence and He is inside you. "Christ in you the hope of glory!" is how the Apostles describe this day to day miracle of Communion.

I said, 'Its not the taste, it's the blessing that Jesus puts within the bread. So, when we eat it, it opens up (like a present) and we find out what He has prepared personally for each one of us.

The Wine of Heaven He Calls His Blood
That He continually Pours Out that We Might Know the Extent of His Love & Mercy

It is the same with the wine. We ask the Lord to bless the cup of wine and when we do He empowers it to become a river of His love poured into us like a transfusion of His blood into our blood. It is a river of life flowing into our physical bodies as we drink. Jesus calls the wine His blood in John 6. When we taste, we see and/or hear and/or experience something that He has planned for each one of us. His voice is personal, intimate and one-on-one. it feels almost like a whisper sometimes or like an embrace but whatever the message the Holy Spirit delivers it to us in the way that Jesus has personally prescribed for each one of us.

After sharing this we talked briefly about the scripture from:

1 Peter 3:3-4 "His divine power has given us everything we need for life and godliness through the knowledge of Him who called us by His own glory and excellence.

Through  these He has given us His  precious and magnificent promises,
so that  through them you may become partakers of the divine
nature,

now that you have escaped the corruption in the world caused by
evil desires."

Divine Flesh that tastes like bread and Divine Blood that tastes like wine feeds and fills us with the food of eternal life and promises. When we partake, believing, we receive all that the Lord has prepared for us in that brief but eternal meal.

Each person was asked to define "divine" and three words surfaced "God, Heavenly and Wonderful"

I said, "After Communion, CommunionFire and sharing we would be taking a look at Luke 11."

Column Two

When it was time for Communion

We presented Mary's bread to the Lord, asked, "Lord, we ask you to bless this bread to be your Body, we do this to remember You". We shared as each person said, 'The Body of Christ broken for you". Then we all ate at the same time.

Pausing for a minute, we each waited before the Lord, with physical eyes closed.

For a moment we allowed the Holy Spirit to reveal what Jesus wanted share with each one of us as we tasted of His presence.

Next we prayed, "Lord bless this wine to be Your Blood. We do this to remember you." Then each person said, as we shared, "The blood of Christ shed for you." With an "Alleluia!" we drank our sip of the river of His life.

One by one we each shared what the Lord had shared with us during the CommunionFire (Communion with Jesus in His glory by His Spirit and by His Spirit His glory within us)

But in the Communion this morning as I listened to the waves, it was like being washed in the peace of Jesus."

Mary M. shared that with His bread of life Jesus showed me that we were surrounded by His perfect light right on the beach where we are.

Don: I can't explain this and I might need help but when I had the bread I saw an egg floating right in front of me..

(This is what happened next)

Bridget who was a little restless but very patient suddenly burst out, "Did you hear that Mom, He said egg!" Jennifer confirmed and started to say that the previous week Bridget was very helpful with the VBS but on top of all that she did some of the object lessons! One was about an egg...

Bridget burst in with excitement to explain that the egg in the shell that sat in the top of a cardboard tube which was balanced on top of a plate which sat on top of a glass of water...

It was "at rest" and if you remove the plate the egg falls into the glass of water and does not break!"

Don reflected on the message of being at rest (in fact he told me that if I looked over at him and he looked like he was asleep, he probably was!) but both he and Bridget and Jennifer were all involved in a very animated discussion about the egg and the object lesson!

I said, "well thank you so much Ms. Bridget! You brought us a terrific message this morning because of Jesus showing an egg floating in the air. (She was all grins and so were the rest of us!)

Because I was going to share a message from Luke 11 this morning that said,

1 One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his disciples.”

2 He said to them, “When you pray, say: “ ‘Father, hallowed be your name, your kingdom come. 3 Give us each day our daily bread. 4 Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us. And lead us not into temptation.’ ”

5 Then Jesus said to them, “Suppose you have a friend, and you go to him at midnight and say, ‘Friend, lend me three loaves of bread; 6 a friend of mine on a journey has come to me, and I have no food to offer him.’ 7 And suppose the one inside answers, ‘Don’t bother me. The door is already locked, and my children and I are in bed. I can’t get up and give you anything.’ 8 I tell you, even though he will not get up and give you the bread because of friendship, yet because of your shameless audacity he will surely get up and give you as much as you need.

9 “So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.10 For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

11 “Which of you fathers, if your son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead?

12 Or if he asks for an EGG, will give him a scorpion?

13
If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,

how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Remember 1 Peter 3?

Through these He has given us His  precious and magnificent promises,
so that  through them you may become partakers of the divine
nature.

What does this say to you? Newton's First Law of Motion... Hmmmm any applications you can think of?

Remember the Lord said to Sharon - I like to show/tell you things that make you think!

After 2 1/2 years the Lord has been directing us into a new format. We opened with some sharing. Charles spoke about Screwtape Letters and Veronica shared about her "defining moment". After we enjoyed some good worship we came to the Lord's Table. We asked the Lord's blessing on the bread to be His body and the wine to be His blood Then as led by the Spirit, we shared our encounters and experiences.  After a 5 minute break we looked at The continuing ministry of Jesus in Acts 10. We finished the evening with prayer, praise and thanksgiving. The following is a quick review of this evening's sharing from the CommunionFire. (Acts 10 is available at the top menu - just click ACTS)
I shared first: in the bread of life I saw the almost sheer veil again pulled back at the center by a gentle wind of the Spirit and heard "Hail through the veil". it is through Communion of the flesh and blood of Jesus that we enter His presence. then in the wine of His blood I heard myself saying, "Wow! That's strong stuff!" Hebrews 10:20
Veronica: "In the glory of the CommunionFire I saw butterflies, a rainbow and gladness!" The heavenly meaning: New life and transformation (butterflies), Promise of eternal life and that he will raise us up on the last day (rainbow), and His faithfulness, the hope he gives us and His love gives us gladness.'  Psalm 100:2
Joe: In the bread of Life I received my usual super peace and then in the wine of His blood I could feel heaven's heat and power filling my spirit. Ephesians 3:16
Camille: my communion led to the fire of realizing that I could do without so many things that require my force, effort and work, but I could never do without Communion. It is how Jesus shares His love and life personally - the gift of eternal life. John 6:53-58
Lori: With the Bread of the Body I saw the charcoal face of Jesus again only this time the image was clear and not shaking! With the Wine of the Covenant I was distracted and had to take two sips to finish my share. (It was suggested that sometimes the Lord gives us a double portion to combat whatever form the enemy might use.  2 Corinthians 4:6
Don: While having Communion I got only one word, "quicken". John 5:21, Romans 8:11
Jim: In the bread of life I saw the Eucharist wafer in the sky and in the wine of life I saw it become like the eye of the Lord!  Psalm 33:18, 1 Peter 3:12
Charles: 1 Corinthians 13:8-10 The Truth is Jesus - the truth is a person it is Jesus! He is the truth!
Halleluia! Thank you Jesus for coming to us as Savior and Lord and as Bread and Wine!

Another significant influence in my life is the life and ministry of Winkey Pratney. His lifelong commitment to the study and application of Revival as both an apologist and polemicist raised the bar for me and he accomplished what I only dreamed - to Produce the Revival Study Bible. He has also been an intrinsic Man of God from the days of the Jesus People Movement and a part of my experience as a visiting teacher at Christ for the Nations in Dallas in 1975 and one of the principles in Y.W.A.M. Youth With A Mission that has had a direct impact on my sister, daughters, nephews and grandchildren. Thanks Brother Winkey for the legacy you have deposited into my life and the life of so many others.
