Zechariah 9: 9-17 The (First) Coming of Zion’s Servant King Second Coming When The Lord Will Appear! Amazing Prophecy of First and Second Coming!

"Rejoice greatly, Daughter Zion! Shout, Daughter Jerusalem! See, your king comes to you, righteous and victorious, lowly and riding on a donkey, on a colt, the foal of a donkey.

I will take away the chariots from Ephraim and the warhorses from Jerusalem, and the battle bow will be broken. He will proclaim peace to the nations. His rule will extend from sea to sea and from the River to the ends of the earth.

As for you, because of the blood of my covenant with you, I will free your prisoners from the waterless pit. Return to your fortress, you prisoners of hope; even now I announce that I will restore twice as much to you.

I will bend Judah as I bend my bow and fill it with Ephraim. I will rouse your sons, Zion, against your sons, Greece, and make you like a warrior’s sword.

Then the Lord will appear over them; his arrow will flash like lightning.

The Sovereign Lord will sound the trumpet;
He will march in the storms of the south,
And the Lord Almighty will shield them.
They will destroy and overcome with  sling stones.

They will drink and roar as with wine;
They will be full like a bowl used for sprinkling the corners of the altar.
The Lord their God will save his people on that day
As a shepherd saves his flock."

"They will sparkle in his land like jewels in a crown.

How attractive and beautiful they will be!

Grain will make the young men thrive,

And New Wine the young women."

The cost of revelation was great suffering and the loss of all he had including: family, home, business, friends and health. At the deepest and darkest moment of suffering the veil of suffering was rolled back and Job saw through the corridors of time as the light of heaven burst into Job's heart and he saw a heavenly vision of the First Coming of Christ and The Second Coming and then made this statement:

"I know that my redeemer lives
and shall stand at the last day on the earth!"
Job 19:25
CommunionFire happens 2 places: In the fellowship of suffering with Jesus (only on rare occasions) and whenever we sit down at the Lord's invitation at His Table.

Matthew 21: 1-11 Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage on the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and at once you will find a donkey tied there, with her colt by her. Untie them and bring them to me. If anyone says anything to you, say that the Lord needs them, and he will send them right away.”

This took place to fulfill what was spoken through the prophet: “Say to Daughter Zion, ‘See, your king comes to you, gentle and riding on a donkey, and on a colt, the foal of a donkey.’ ”

The disciples went and did as Jesus had instructed them. They brought the donkey and the colt and placed their cloaks on them for Jesus to sit on. A very large crowd spread their cloaks on the road, while others cut branches from the trees and spread them on the road. The crowds that went ahead of him and those that followed shouted,

“Hosanna to the Son of David!”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Hosanna
 in the highest heaven!”

When Jesus entered Jerusalem, the whole city was stirred and asked, “Who is this?”
The crowds answered, “This is Jesus, the prophet from Nazareth in Galilee.”

Picture
Mark 11:1-11 Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
As they approached Jerusalem and came to Bethphage and Bethany at the Mount of Olives, Jesus sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and just as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you doing this?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it and will send it back here shortly.’ ”

They went and found a colt outside in the street, tied at a doorway. As they untied it, some people standing there asked, “What are you doing, untying that colt?” They answered as Jesus had told them to, and the people let them go. When they brought the colt to Jesus and threw their cloaks over it, he sat on it. Many people spread their cloaks on the road, while others spread branches they had cut in the fields. Those who went ahead and those who followed shouted,

“Hosanna! ”

“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the coming kingdom of our father David!”

“Hosanna in the highest heaven!”

Jesus entered Jerusalem and went into the temple courts. He looked around at everything, but since it was already late, he went out to Bethany with the Twelve.

Luke 19: 28-44 Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
After Jesus had said this, he went on ahead, going up to Jerusalem. As he approached Bethphage and Bethany at the hill called the Mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples, saying to them, “Go to the village ahead of you, and as you enter it, you will find a colt tied there, which no one has ever ridden. Untie it and bring it here. If anyone asks you, ‘Why are you untying it?’ say, ‘The Lord needs it.’ ” Those who were sent ahead went and found it just as he had told them. As they were untying the colt, its owners asked them, “Why are you untying the colt?” They replied, “The Lord needs it.” They brought it to Jesus, threw their cloaks on the colt and put Jesus on it. As he went along, people spread their cloaks on the road.
When he came near the place where the road goes down the Mount of Olives, the whole crowd of disciples began joyfully to praise God in loud voices for all the miracles they had seen:

“Blessed is the king who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!”

Some of the Pharisees in the crowd said to Jesus, “Teacher, rebuke your disciples!”
“I tell you,” He replied,
“If they keep quiet, the stones will cry out.”

As he approached Jerusalem and saw the city,
He wept over it and said, “If you, even you, had only known
on this day what would bring you peace
but now it is hidden from your eyes".

The days will come upon you when your enemies will build an embankment against you and encircle you and hem you in on every side. They will dash you to the ground, you and the children within your walls.

They will not leave one stone on another, because you did not recognize the time of God’s coming to you.”
John 12:12-18 Jesus Comes to Jerusalem as King
The next day the great crowd that had come for the festival heard that Jesus was on his way to Jerusalem. They took palm branches and went out to meet him, shouting,

“Hosanna! ”
“Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
“Blessed is the king of Israel!”

Jesus found a young donkey and sat on it, as it is written: “Do not be afraid, Daughter Zion; see, your king is coming, seated on a donkey’s colt.”

At first his disciples did not understand all this.

Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that
these things had been written about him and that
these things had been done to him.

Now the crowd that was with him when he called Lazarus from the tomb and raised him from the dead continued to spread the word. Many people, because they had heard that he had performed this sign, went out to meet him.

So the Pharisees said to one another,
“See, this is getting us nowhere.
Look how the whole world has gone after him!”

A final word from Job
"That with an iron stylus and lead They were engraved in the rock forever! "As for me, I know that my Redeemer lives, And at the last He will take His stand on the earth. Even after my skin is destroyed, Yet from my flesh I shall see God"

Wednesday Night CommunionFire Gathering: Revelation 22:20

A wonderful gathering. Jim shared with us about Revelation 14 and Joe read the chapter to us. We had a time of sharing and then I gave a short lesson on the imagery and symbols of CommunionFire we see in the furniture in The Tabernacle of Moses. (The Brazen Alter, The Brazen Laver, The Table of Shew Bread, The Candle Stand, The Alter of Incense, The Veil and the Ark of the Covenant.) Then we all came to the Table of the Lord. The following are the encounters as shared by each person.  (FYI - When someone says at !0 o'clock or at 2 o' clock its not an issue of time but location. As we sit together facing the Table having Communion when the Holy Spirit shows, reveals or shares something from the Lord and its visual its a way we have come to describe 'facing the Lord where something appears. Instead of saying to the right or to the left or up above we learned from Lori how to say for example "the arrow of the Lord went from 5 o'clock to 11 o'clock)

As I prepared this post something remarkable turned up. Coincidence? I don't know. All I can tell you is that these are the facts as given to each one of us by the Lord at His Table. Each one speaks of CommunionFire and this time they all seem to be forward looking - to the return of Jesus for His Bride! You decide.

7 People and 7 Encounters with the Lord. Are all of the messages related? Can the Lord give each of us messages about His return in ways that only we can appreciate? Then when all are shared we discover one message: "He is pouring out supernatural hope that defies explanation about His return.
The Miracles of CommunionFire continue to reassure us of the reality of the Lord's presence.

Bob: From The Bread of His Flesh - I saw trumpets lined up at about 2 O'clock all in a row. Then I heard "Look to the Feast of Trumpets" September 13, 2015 (See Joe's encounter)

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood:  I heard the song "Up From the dead He arose"!
Picture
Ronnie: From The Bread of His Flesh Jason Upton "In Your Presence is Where I belong"

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood: Pouring over into me was His Shalom
Picture
Jim From The Bread of His Flesh: Saw the eye of the Lord - this time it was Green

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood: Saw a brilliant large green light!
Karen: From The Bread of His Flesh: Saw an empty glass bowl that was being filled from above and as it filled it released a mist-like smoke

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood: I saw a dark globe and then a bright light or star from about 2 o'clock and wherever the light hit the earth the earth was lit by it. Then I saw a hand larger than the globe, that settled over it and covered it. The hand of the Lord was bleeding.

As if the cup of our hope is being filled to overflowing (for His return) when we see the Light of Jesus begins to approach the earth (which is in darkness) and then wherever His hand covers, He picks us up, (so to speak).
Picture
What do these messages indicate to you?

19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the tree of life and from the holy city, which are written in this book.

20 He who testifies to these things says, "Yes, I am coming quickly." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus.

21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

"Even So, Come Lord Jesus!" Revelation 22:20

Camille: From The Bread of His Flesh "Christ in you THE HOPE of Glory"

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood: "His Love is Intoxicating"
Joe: From The Bread of His Flesh: Tent Prepared with 1 Open Flap (Dark inside)

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood: Shalom - Super peace Settled over me.

The Hebrew Letter, "Hey", is the picture of a dalet (tent door) with a yod (hand). According to Hebrew4christians.com, “Since hey is formed from dalet and yod, it can also be a picture of returning to God by means of the transforming power of the Spirit (As in 2 Corinthians 3:18). Dalet stands for brokenness, and yod stands for a hand. Opening the door of the heart then is a picture of the Spirit of God indwelling the believer.” (Rosh Hashanah Feast of Trumpets: September 13-15, 2015) Hey = Breath or Wind of the Holy Spirit and "5" (the number of grace. 7 means Godly Completion, Perfection so this year, 5775, means the double portion of the Spirit coming through open doors and double portion of Completion or perfection. (I don't know if you can have more CommunionFire revival than that!)
Picture
Lori: From The Bread of His Flesh "I saw the Brazen Laver" in the inner Court and saw Bob at 5 O'Clock and Jim at 3 O'clock

From The Cup Of His Precious Blood: The super peace of the Lord settled in my heart.
We don't know the day or hour but could we know the season? Yes. The Lord said be prepared! There were 5 foolish virgins and 5 wise. The wise were prepared when the bridegroom came. The others were busy trying to fill their lamps with oil. the oil of the holy Spirit is released every time we have Communion. "He anoints our head with oil each time we sit down at His Table which Jesus prepares for us." It is the anointing of revelation from His presence. Jesus said upon this rock (of revelation) I will build m Church. (Peter heard from heaven and had a revelation that gave him the ability to say, "You are The Christ, The Son of the living God". It is the revelation of Jesus we need every day!

The Lord may have been saying something here tonight. This is published to let you know about the first hand, one-to-one, personal witness we are each experiencing in our relationship with the Lord Jesus. His Spirit is very able to communicate anything He wants to share with us.

There are 5 signs and wonders as illustrated below and tons of speculation. you can Google Feast of Trumpets 2015, Rosh HaShanah 2015, Blood Moons, Yom Kippur 2015, etc... and there are lots of very intelligent theories out there. One thing we do know - Jesus is coming back for His Church, His Bride.

Since 1948 we know that "that generation" will not pass until all these things be fulfilled. 70 years meaning the Lord will be back by or before May, 2018. Are you ready? Is your family? Are your neighbors? Do you think its time to let them know?

Got Communion?

Luke 21:30  When they sprout leaves, you can see for yourselves and know that summer is near. ...

Matthews 24:30 “And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be."
1 Corinthians 15

50 I declare to you, brothers and sisters, that

flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable.

51 Listen, I tell you a mystery:

We will not all sleep,
but we will all be changed -

52 in a flash
in the twinkling of an eye
,

at the last trumpet.
For the trumpet will sound,

the dead will be raised imperishable,
and we (who are alive and remain) will be changed.

53 For the perishable must clothe itself with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality.

54 When the perishable has been clothed with the imperishable, and the mortal with immortality, then the saying that is written will come true:

“Death has been swallowed up in victory.”

55 “Where, O death, is your  victory? Where, O death, is your sting?”

56 The sting of death is sin, and the power of sin is the law.

57 But thanks be to God! He gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

58 Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm.

Let nothing move you.

Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labor in the Lord is not in vain.

                            +   +   +   +   +   +   +

Considering these messages are all from the same Lord who is the Spirit (2 Cor. 3:18) could it be that He is trying to help us understand something here? Jesus said, when teaching about Communion that the Holy Spirit was being sent to do 3 things as far as believers go:

1)To lead us into all truth (that is the presence of the Lord),

2) To bring all things to our remembrance (that is to share with us by revelation and to speak to us what Jesus shows Him and what Jesus says) and

3) To show us things to come!

What Do We Really Feed Upon?

3/23/2015

In the beginning was the Word
And the Word was with God
And the Word was God
And He was with God in the beginning

And the Word became flesh
And the Angel said you will call His name Jesus
He is the Son of God
And Son of man

And He lived among us
Doing good
He came to His own
His own did not recognize or receive Him

We have seen his glory
The glory of the one and only Son
Who came from the Father
Full of grace and truth.

He paid all debts for our sin
As demanded by His Law
So that we could come to Him
As we are into His full embrace

The life appeared!
We have seen it!
We are first hand witnesses to it!

We proclaim to you eternal life!
It was with the Father and has appeared to us!
We proclaim to you what we have seen and heard!

That you also may have fellowship with us!
We commune with the Father
and His Son, Jesus Christ!

We write this to make our joy complete!

He sent His Holy Spirit
To all who ask for Him to baptize them
To receive the power
To be witnesses to the whole world

What do we witness?
We meet Him at His Table
We feed on what He provides
His Flesh and Blood

When we do the veil is torn
That we might see and recognize Him
He shares His Presence with us
Personally, intimately and with kindness

We see His face and image
And we feed upon what He shows us
We hear His gentle voice filled with joy
And we drink in what He has to say

That which was from the beginning
Which we have heard and seen with our eyes
Which we have looked upon-our hands have touched
This we proclaim is the Word of life

What great love Father has lavished on us!
He calls us His children and that is what we are!
The reason the world does not know us is
that it did not know him.

Dear friends, now we are children of God!
What we will be has not yet been made known.
But we know that when Christ appears,

We shall be like him when we see Him
All who have this hope in him purify themselves,

Just as He is pure.

Look Upon The Face of Jesus In CommunionFire

3/20/2015

Picture
“Christianity is born, and continually draws new life from
this contemplation of the glory of God shining on the face of Christ.”
Saint John Paul II

Through the veil of his Flesh, our eyes go straight to His eyes. We see Jesus in the light of His presence. In the glory is His image (Eikon) and then (after opening our eyes to see Him) We recognize Him. (Luke 24 Emmaus)

He opens our ears with His Voice. The Blood of Jesus speaks like a whisper, a breeze, a message - usually just a phrase, sentence or even reference to a scripture. The first time the Lord directed me to a scripture He said, “John 2 verse 3″.

I was blown away when I read (in the context of our Communion) His Beloved Holy Mother Mary said, “They have no wine!”” At this same time, 2 years ago, I struggled to share about our Miracle with pastors and leaders in our area. The response on a good day was nothing. Most did not care. The others had no interest or made light of it. I was totally baffled. "Lord, why don't they understand?" Then I thought to myself, it only took the Lord more than 40 years to get me to His Table! Okay Lord I get it. This is your program, not mine.

Part of it was that the miraculous glory being poured out from heaven on us every day caused me to become a cry baby. I had a hard time talking about it without crying, sometimes uncontrollably. What was this! did I get the mantle of Jeremiah? I think it must be like being restored to missing family after decades of being lost. When I close my eyes, I now saw the face of my new best friend, Jesus. I knew how much He loves me and everyone else. Seeing the face of Jesus things happen you can't explain. You see Him. He is still Flesh. Looking upon Him is filled with wonder and mystery. He is kind, gracious, gentle and true grit. He seems spontaneous while totally in control. There is no sense of authoritarianism only grace. Mostly He is happy, fun and delightful to be with.

My overflowing tear-filled discussions when I tried to speak with others lasted for six or seven months! Had this poor man has lost his mind? I think I did because I had traded it for the mind of Christ Jesus! Looking upon Him and hearing His voice altered everything and still does. When He looks at you His thoughts become your thoughts. His desires become yours. His love becomes your love and nothing seems impossible. Looking at His face irons out problems, resets what's important and leads you to places you would never go - physically, mentally or spiritually.

Back to "John 2 verse 3″ - I was so humbled to realize for the first time I heard the voice of Our Mother and the message helped me to understand the obvious and not so obvious. Mary, full of grace, said, “They have no wine!” My reaction was that I understood the Lord was opening up the meaning of this scripture. In this moment it applied to my situation as a first hand, person-to-person witness to what can happen in Communion; namely "CommunionFire". I didn't get this out of that verse before. Now I knew somehow, it was a seed being planted that would take root, grow and reproduce.

They don’t have the wine do they? They have run out.” They are not at a wedding but the pre-engagement party! He will be here soon for the Wedding and they are not prepared! Here is Jesus promise to those that 'eat the real food of My flesh and drink the real drink of My Blood: You will have my life in you. You will begin eternal life right now. Then finally, again to those that come to His Table, "I will raise you up in the last day." Read John 6 until you have it memorized. This is pure eternal liquid gold!  The less obvious message: “This is a sad state of affairs! The shepherds (non-catholic primarily) are not leading the flock to respond to the Good Shepherd’s invitation to dine with Him! He is waiting and waiting and has so much to share.

It only took me 42 years! So we pray and share every chance we get. We pray for ‘renewal in Communion with the Holy Eucharist and the discovery of the glory of Jesus when each veil is removed. To our dear Catholics (Roman and Eastern Orthodox) we pray for the water you have be changed into wine, We pray the confession of your faith believes this is the Flesh and Blood of your Savior. We pray that you don't just partake and walk away and cross yourself but that you find the reason to cross yourself. When you receive the holy Eucharist or Qurbana that it lead you into His presence to behold His holy face. When you look upon Him you will recognize Him and what He wants to tell you. This will bring the eternal dynamic of love to your faith that you have never known. Once you experience Communion's Fire Communion will never be the same again.

Then for our non-catholic friends we pray for outright revival. We pray you will study, teach, discuss and ask questions about John 6, 13-17 and begin the process of discovery that the scriptures are all about communion from Genesis to Revelation. We pray you will go beyond Revelation 3:20 inviting Jesus into your life and go on to have a relationship with him personally at His Table at least 4 times a week.  (John Wesley's words not mine.) We pray for the day-to-day, personal, one-on-one revival that makes it an every day event between you and the Lord.  You must become a believer though. Read and discuss John 6. The bread of life IS His Flesh. It is real food. (Jesus' words not mine. You must believe that the wine of His Blood is real drink and that when you drink you you begin a lifelong transfusion of the holy and divine for the temporal and benign. Christ IN you the hope of Glory really is Christ in you! We pray for a daily, personal revival like no other, that will never end until the Bride dines at the Wedding Feast. A revival that will bring each believer to the Table every day so that they can see, hear and experience the reality of Jesus Holy Presence, looking into His eyes in His glory at His Table.

Psalm 4:6-7, Psalm 11:7, Psalm 16:11, Psalm 140:13, 2 Corinthians 3:18, 4:6, 4:18, Matthew 17:22, 8:3, Mark 9:2, Song 6:10, Revelation 1:16, 10:1, Acts 2:25, Genesis 32:30, 1 Corinthians 13:12, Genesis 16:30, Exodus 24:10-11, Numbers 12:7-8, Deuteronomy 34:10, Psalm 17:15, 1 John 3:2, Revelation 22:4, Job 19:26,
What precious jewels the Lord has brought out from His secret treasury (Isaiah 45:3) has also included the ever increasing strength of each morsel He feeds us on. “They have no wine” started as a crumb. Then is became breakfast and then lunch and then dinner and today it is a full feast! We could spend the rest of our days on that one phrase! Because The Holy Spirit whispered it to me according to what Jesus told Him to tell me He opened my ears to Hear Our Mother’s voice as well. “They have no wine.” “THEY have no wine.” “They HAVE no wine.” “They have NO wine.” “They have no WINE!”

The bread of life never grows stale. It is supernatural bread made of the Flesh of Jesus. The wine of life, The Blood of Jesus, becomes a greater and greater vintage with each passing day. It is supernatural! One crumb becomes a hundred baskets and one sip becomes 120 gallons of life. No good thing will he with hold!

Face to Face! Sweet devotion just to look upon Him. It was His eyes that first raised me from the dead.

It was only my second Communion at home with my wifeand CommunionFire partner, Camille. When I ate the bread of His Flesh my eyes opened to see Jesus with St. Peter at the boat. Jesus between me and Peter. He looked at Peter and said, “Follow me.” and then when I had the wine of His Blood, Jesus turned and looked into my eyes and said, “Follow Me.” and waved His hand from me towards Himself.

When I saw Jesus looking straight at me, from His eyes, His face and the way He looked into my eyes (like doves eyes as spoken of in the Song of Songs) I suddenly had been given the miraculous ability to do just as He invited me to do. Further, I was suddenly passionately hungry and thirsty to follow Him forever into forever. I had tried to follow Him for 40+ years but now He told me personally, one-on-one and directly filled with love, energy and kindness to follow Him. I now know that Jesus will never invite us to do something unless He will also equip us to do what He asks. I have been following Him with a miraculous outpouring of grace and mercy, like the latter rains of Joel and Pentecost. Since then I don't see Jesus commanding, only inviting. With the invitation comes His ability and grace to respond. He empowers us for anything He invites us to share. His passion is to share His All in All of everything. He died to give us everything, but most of all His love and communion, communication and personal relationship.

So thank you again Dear Ones! Last night and this morning Jesus led me to you! The Sweet Peace of our Lord and Savior be with all of you today! (i suppose I should be more like St. Joseph with a grace for quietness – but i just can’t help it! I am so swept up in the Spirit to share from an overflowing vault in heaven. I can’t spend it fast enough!) So I hope that the Lord has encouraged your hearts with my response to your inspiration! Thank you for enriching my Communion today! You think you've got it all until you come to His Table.

Part 1 "In The Presence of Your Enemies"  "I Believe"... What?

I believe.
That's the doorknob.
YOU open the door to eternal Communion with Jesus!
No one else will.
Turn it now and open the door and He will introduce Himself to you personally.

He will come into your life at your invitation. Then He will sit down with you. You will share everything about you and all that you are with Him. He will take it all, including the bad stuff. He will bundle up all the bad stuff and toss it into the farthest sea of forgetfulness.

Then He will begin replacing each thing you offered Him at your table and lead you to a new seat at His Table. He will provide every meal (His Body and Blood from your bread and wine). One day it tastes like honey and clover, another day like prime rib and heaven's sweet wine and another day it will taste like a day at the beach in a festival of joy and gladness.

While preparing John 4 and 5 for The 30 Day CommunionFire Challenge"  I noticed 2 different responses to the presence of Jesus and He is giving us His legs to stand on. We already know about the "One-on-One with the Lady at the Well" John 4 because "she is us" when we open the door and He sits down at our table.

Like her we tell everyone, "Come meet a man who told me everything and I know that He is the Savior of the world!"

Only one person doesn't receive their Life from Jesus.

The one who ignores his voice calling their name and His hand knocking at our door. The invitation to dine with Him at His Table is also open to all who will come. There's not one reason 'not to' that makes any sense.

It is blindness, deafness caused by our pre occupation with the insanity of our sin, self-righteousness, the seduction of the world and if need be every demon in hell that keeps you from the life He wants to share with you. Simply, Jesus said, "If you don't dine on the real food of My Flesh and drink the real drink of My Blood, You Have NO LIFE in you!" D.O.A.

However, If you "DO eat and drink at His Table" then:

You Have His Life In You
You Have Eternal Life
You Will Be Raised Up On The Last Day

Got Communion?
If not, maybe there's a reason

Jesus cries out in the scriptures, in church tradition, for 2,000 years, right now and every moment of every  day:

"Come to me!
ALL children!
ALL who are weary!
ALL who are heavy laden!
ALL who are hungry! All who are thirsty!
ALL who have no money! Bring
ALL those who are halt, blind and lame! Compel
ALL who are wandering in the highways of this world and Compel
ALL who are stuck behind man-made fences of good intentions!
I want my Table to be full!"

He is preparing us for the Great Wedding Feast where we will forever dine with Him and there will be no distractions because all enemies will be gone. He will envelope us in His love, fill us with nothing but His goodness and we will gush with joy that we have never known.

Until Then: There are questions.

What does having Eyes to See, Ears to Hear and Hearts to Understand Mean?

What Does Blindness Look Like?  What does Deafness Sound Like!

Is it Possible that "When You Don't Know - You Don't Know"?

What's on your Menu for Communion?
What's on His?
Is It Possible to Get these Confused?

Is it a Memorial?
Is it Bread or Flesh? Is it Wine or Blood?
Is there more to Communion?

Our daily journey here at home leaves us pretty much alone with the Lord and i is wonderful, wonder-filled and miraculous.
We meet weekly from house to house as away to continue the process of discovery about the message, mission and ministry of CommunionFire.

Low numbers to be sure. The Holy Spirit reminded me of Jesus and the twelve for three and a half years and about Paul and his twelve for 3 years. So we're not in bad company. Recently someone encouraged me, "Despise not the day of small beginnings." So we are not anxious - but we have learned some very powerful lessons along the way. We are so glad that Jesus has full charge of this. What we write here is basically our observations of what He shares with us.

My initial thinking was that this might be a message that would set Jesus followers of all backgrounds, nations and denominations on fire with revival culminating in bringing Jesus back! That as not happened, at least not yet!
Picture
Some of the questions we have faced first thing in the morning include:

Who do you think you are?
You're making this up.
No one will ever believe this.
Are we any less 'afire' after 30 months of doing this every day?
Has it become boring?
Is it time to move on to something else?

The questions and conflicts seem to get more intense, not less. The enemy has thrown everything at us physically, mentally and spiritually. Everything.

But we know this: The brightness and intensity of our personal revival is more pervasive day to day. I can't explain it except to say that being in His presence every day without any effort on our part is simply miraculous! Like Mary - just to be at His feet (because that is what it feels like) is enough. We believe and He takes it from there!

The transformation is bringing us into a "full conversion". Communion with Jesus makes that process life-giving, precious and wonderful. And we know the devil is a liar, cheat, scoundrel and will stop at nothing to deter us from our romance with Jesus.

In this series we will identify the 3 categories of attack we have confronted based on 9 real life comments we've heard from scores of loving, reliable Christian people.

These comments have helped us understand what we all are up against when we commit ourselves to spending time with Him at His Table. In some cases they actually seemed to understand and participated in Communion and CommunionFire with us. That's why we wanted to open up this dialog.

These attacks fall into category assignments of "body, soul & spirit".

This series will share our real life experiences in recognizing the enemies' way to keep all of us from coming to The Table, eating the New Covenant Meal He provides for us and experiencing personal, one-on-one Communion with Jesus in the fire of his presence!

Part 2 "In The Presence Of Your Enemies" Physical Distractions

What's Your #1 Distraction to Having Communion With Jesus at His Table/
First The Physical Attacks
Devil's Club of "Distraction"

How do you fight distraction?
Realize its there. It's real and comes in all kinds of 'costumes'. See it for what it is in all its forms. Say, "I am able to get to His table!" Set the Table and Get to the Table. Let everything else wait while you wait on Him where He will wait on you!

Why is finding 5 minutes to having the Bread of Life and a sip from the River of Life so overwhelming? The war waged by 'the spirit of distraction' is almost too big and too obvious to recognize.

Psalm 23 tells us that "we dine in the presence of our enemies". This devil has many associates working at the same time.

The Devil does not want Jesus to come back soon! He knows His days are numbered and that God's Calendar is almost ready to turn to "The Great and Terrible Day of The Lord" So the devil is busier than ever assembling His minions to Keep Us From The Table of the Lord and to Experience anything meaningful when there!

It could be a simple 'imp spirit' that causes you to spill your coffee or break a dish in the morning. This could easily use up the 5 minutes for Jesus that you planned or you will be (oops another one) the U Will B Late For Work spirit. That one is a thug. He starts beating you with his club the moment you wake up. Schedule, Family, Work, Sickness, Light bulbs, Trash, Tiredness. They are all part of the same "Devil's Club of Distraction".

I believe.
That's the doorknob. YOU open the door to eternal Communion with Jesus! No one else will.

Preparing John 4 and 5 for the ongoing saga of The 30 Day CommunionFire Challenge" (which will become 40 days when all is said and done) show us 2 different responses to the presence of Jesus and He is giving us His legs to stand on ("The 5 Porticos" in the House of Grace in John 5) over the past 30 Months. We already know about the "One-on-One with the Lady at the Well" John 4 because "she is us" when we open the door and He sits down at our table.

Like her, we tell everyone, "Come meet a man who told me everything and I know that He is the Savior of the world!"

Jesus is still doing good and healing all who are under the power of the devil
Fight Distraction with Determination harnessed to Faith and Passion. Look for the coming of Jesus with all your heart. His appearance in CommunionFire is a "taste and see" deposit on the day we shall see Him in the clouds with power and great glory! Communion gives birth daily. Getting to the table is the 'labor'. Once there the miracle happens!

Jesus is still doing this! "God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and power, and how he went around doing good and healing all who were under the power of the devil, because God was with him." Acts 10:38

Only one person doesn't receive their Life from Jesus.

The one who ignores his voice calling their name and His hand knocking at our door. The invitation to dine with Him at His Table is also open to all who will come. There's not one reason 'not to' that makes any sense.

Part 3 "In The Presence of My Enemies" The Liar Says 'Disqualified'

3/18/2015

Picture
Jesus Won The Battle for your Mind, Will & Emotions You are Forgiven, Accepted & Free of All Guilt Shame & Condemnation
Second the Soul: Mind, Will & Emotions
Demons Club of "Disqualification"

How do you fight the demons of disqualification? It helps to use blind faith here. "I Believe." That puts it back in God's hands. Trust Him without regard to any form of guilt, shame, condemnation or anything less than sitting down with your Shepherd, Lord and Savior.  His Love conquers all.

What the demons love to whisper, joke, use sarcasm, cynicism or just plain yell in your face:

"You can't do this."  "You're not worthy."
"Who do you think you are?" "You're no saint"

Then there are deeper levels of attack and accusation:

"You have your interpretation of what communion means and I have mine."

"You're adding to what communion is all about"

"You're missing a lot of the rules my church has about communion."

Your faith is His target. He wants to keep you dwelling in the house of doubt, confusion, hatred, anger, hurt and anything else that will keep your attention away from fellowship at The table with The Lord!

Another one we run into is: "This can only be done in a church building!" (And you know he's got you there because you can't even find 5 minutes at home much less get to church, go through the service and 'still make it to work on time'.)

Some pastors and leaders of christian churches and even a few who pose as christian, have actually told us:

A) "We only have communion one time per year and its done in conjunction with Passover."

Is it just my opinion? I believe Jesus instituted the First Communion as instruction to the eleven about how it would replace the Old Covenant Meal of Passover with the New Covenant Meal of Communion. So, that is like those stupid Galatians who were being seduced into becoming Jews before they could become Christians.

B) "We have communion every week and its done as a memorial of Jesus' death."

True, communion does show the Lord's death until He returns but the Gospel is that He conquered sin, hell and death. He arose from the dead and showed Himself to many (500+) and ascended into heaven and took His seat on the right hand of the Father as King of kings and Lord of lords. He took a lot of time as The Word made flesh to prepare the disciples to recognize His image and His voice in Communion after sending the Holy Spirit.

See John 13-17 Jesus' final teaching is about Communion and CommunionFire the same night He was betrayed and the same night He taught about why He had to leave and send the Holy Spirit - it was all about Communion and where He would meet with them after Pentecost - At His Table!) "The law of the Spirit of life has set me free from the law of sin and death!" Isn't there more to Communion than Jesus died for me? Its not a graveside memorial service that is supposed to make us feel badly about ourselves. Its about having Communion with Him by the power and activity of the Holy Spirit. Jesus is alive and waiting for each one of us to spend a few minutes with Him, in His presence, at His Table by eating the Bread of His Flesh and drinking the wine of His Blood!

 C) "We have communion every month and its a special time for us."

1) When we do, we share the bread and wine with each other to bring us into communion with one another. As if by having communion, holding hands and praying we are one in Christ. I used to think this but no longer.

There is communion we try to produce and then there is Communion only Jesus can produce and that begins at His Table personally, with Him. The Church is the Body of Christ but only Jesus Christ is the Word made Flesh. The Flesh of Jesus is His flesh. When we eat the Bread of His Flesh it is Jesus not the flesh of other believers.

By having personal one-on-one Communion with Jesus at His Table - what He shares with us, we can then share with each other as 1st hand witnesses to His glorious presence and what He shares with us. That is when we experience Communion as the Church and His Bride.

I don't think any where Jesus said, "You are the bread of life". He never said, "Eat one another". He said very very clearly, "I am the bread of life" and "(when He took the bread He said),

"This is MY BODY broken for you! Do this in remembrance of ME".

Jesus is the "Logos Word" become flesh."
His Flesh become The Bread of Life for us.

Miraculously the bread becomes His Flesh for us so that we can feed on His what He shares with us. What He shows us and what He tells us. (Bread of His Flesh shows/reveals and Win of His Blood speaks/whispers, communicates a "Rhematic Word" message).

Without eating His flesh
we have no life in us."

We become a part of His Body as the bread of His flesh is kneaded by the Holy Spirit into the bread of our body. The characteristics of His flesh (His DNA) alters ours when we 'taste and see' at His Table.

The physical becomes spiritual and we who are physical becomes one with Him and are thereby - the Church, the body of Christ.

"Real" is translated fully disclosed, undeniable reality when fully tested!
+    +    +    +    +    +    +    +    +    +    +    +    +    +

2) When we have communion, it is 'in another room' or 'behind a curtain' and you take it whenever you want to; when it is convenient.

Though I understand the good intention here "hiding Jesus" so to speak, is just off base in so many ways. What jumps to mind first is that Jesus 'did away with the veil' so that we might encounter His glory and experience His love and life. He does not hide from us. In fact He invites us to His Table so that He can share His life with us. It is a personal experience but in worship it is a very public declaration of showing the Lord's death as a witness to those who have not met Him personally and to build the faith of those who have. Even in public, Communion is still a personal, one-on-one experience.

This also puts a little different spin on "Give us this day our daily bread" (if you can find it) unless you still think Jesus is talking about 'groceries' here. A study of the Greek here reveals amazing clarity as to what Jesus is speaking of. It is Communion Bread - His Body becoming part of our body. We are His Temple - His House. When we eat his Flesh then He takes up residence inside us! Our 'brick and  mortar  becomes His brick and mortar! Inside His dwelling now inside of us, He is running more flat screens with His 'memories' than any resort has ever imagined. No matter where you turn in His presence He has something more to share, reveal and speak about. When we are "Communionists" (careful. say this the right way ; ) it is because it is no longer I that lives - but Christ who lives in me.

I live by the faithfulness of the Son of God who died and gave Himself for me. My righteousness counts for nothing! It is Christ in me the hope of glory!  As long as we are in these 'tents' then we need His life every day. In fact its a more important meal than the other three that we spend so much time working for, preparing and sharing. This is where we get our "eternal life food". Jesus is our only portion. No other portion will give us an life whatsoever except physical - and that's just so that we can get to His Table one more day.

3) Communion is only for those who, for example: a) are in right standing with the Lord and The Communion Police whoever they might be; b) who are members of this or that 'church' (in various degrees or levels of commitment); c) who have been (born again, baptized, forgiven, agree with our church constitution, and are totally up to snuff as far as all the sacraments go and being right with the whole world!

Jesus said, "Come". That is all and many don't because they think there is a criteria for being there. Any such criteria is the criteria of those who do not understand Jesus intention. He wants us all to come and eat at His Table and in so doing have satisfied all the requirements others may have - why? Because they are with Him!

Whatever they might be as prescribed by each denomination - and there are well over 3,000 of them.

(I will say I am no longer of the school of sola scriptura as I believe in the Need for the Creed to fight the same dissuasions, delusions and despotisms that worked to confound the early church. In fact I think it is much more advanced and deceiving today. Because of CommunionFire I relish those things that the Lord Jesus shows me and shares with me including the angels, saints and everything else that comes with an eternal, supernatural, glorious Kingdom and Land of Promise. So I do believe all the Bible, Apostle's Creed, the Holy Spirit, the Witness of God's people in all Churches and non-church churches, The Testimony/Story of Jesus encountered in CommunionFire and the many ways Jesus touches our hearts. I am as ardently Catholic (Roman and Orthodox) as I am Anabaptist, Evangelical and Charismatic with a Protestant upbringing. Is that allowed?)

I don't know but that's the nature of His Table for us right now! So some might be thinking that what we share about CommunionFire is going a bit too far. Understand, He chose us. We didn't make this up. We had Communion because He said, "Do this to remember Me". We did not control what happened next. We were at His Table dining upon His presence and that's what happened!.
4) I shared with one brother who has an international ministry of evangelism and when speaking with him about the miracle of CommunionFire, said, "I don't need this".

He was speaking not of communion (I don't think) but of CommunionFire. Okay, I get it. Communion has no real meaning except that its something Jesus invited us "To Do To Remember Him". Why on earth would the Lord of the Universe ask us to do something so simple and mysterious if there was nothing to it but ritualism.
5) If we do it too much it it won't be special any more.

My wife has the best response to this. "Well then stop having the offering every Sunday. Just do it once per month to keep it special." Yeah, I don't see anyone jumping up and down about that revelation!

If you really do your homework you will find that in the law of first mention Communion and Tithing happen at the exact same time! So now you want to have Communion every day?

Have the Faith of a Child
Fight Disqualification with Determination harnessed to humility, truth and faith. Being in Jesus presence one time is all most people we know can speak of. They speak of others' encounters and experiences but not their own. Sit down at His Table with nothing in hand. Come sit down with only one reason. Jesus said, "do this". Then He takes care of the rest. Just do it and keep doing it. He has so much He wants to share with you personally, one-on-one! So Do This with Expectation. He will not let you down. He will open your eyes and your ears and your heart will understand. You will experience fuller conversion and you will be made whole!

You are already full Qualified by virtue of His Proclamation from the Cross "It Is Finished!" and by virtue of the Cup of His New Covenant in His Blood, that you now hold and drink. You are totally forgiven and free from all guilt, shame and condemnation and welcome at His Table any time day or night!
I believe.
That's the doorknob. YOU open the door to eternal Communion with Jesus! No one else will.

Part 4 "In the Presence Of Your Enemies" Hello Darkness My Old Friend?

Third The Spirit Realm:
"Devils Club of Darkness"

How do you fight darkness and the demons and evil that lurks there?

When there is light, the darkness flees. When Jesus shows up the eyes and ears of your spirit are opened. When they are, you see the light of His glory, that is, you see into the light of His glorious presence full of grace and truth. He shows you what He wants to share with you and He speaks to you from His heart. That light refutes the darkness and every evil spirit that vies for your attention. All distraction is to keep your eyes off of Jesus. If the enemy can detract you, obstruct your view, even feed you false fire, he will. He knows he has no power over those who are found in Him and Him in them.

I think the third club, The Demon Club of Darkness, is probably the most disturbing; the "D.O.A. Club" (Dead on Arrival). When you don't come to the Lord's Table you are not only missing out on the greatest Miracle of all, the Presence of Jesus, but Jesus says you have no life in you! Otherwise you are just talking about what others have experienced. Its second hand, third hand and fourth hand revelation. You read about an inspiring Saint or story of faith. You feel like you have it, but Jesus says you don't!

He prepares the Table and The Meal so you can know his presence personally, one-on-one, not through others.

The enemy will stop at nothing to keep you from this. There are spiritual forces inside, outside from the pit to the sky. They are waging war on the saints. Today those demons seem to be taking human form as they lop off the heads of children who say they love Jesus. Pure evil!

(See War on the Saints unabridged edition by Jesse Penn- Lewis.)

It is the life we receive from Jesus at His Table in His glory full of grace and truth that hides us in Him and Him in us. When there, like King David we can say, "Let God arise and his enemies be scattered!"

Jesus says, "If you don't eat my flesh and drink my blood you have NO LIFE IN YOU!" (But I'm saved! I'm Baptized! I'm Baptized in the Holy Spirit! I Pray every day! I read my Bible every day! I've been on short term missions 6 times! I am a good and faithful spouse! I go to church every Sunday!)

This is a loving, intimate, passionate relationship with the Son of God who is the Son of Man, the Word made Flesh, the King of kings, the Savior of your soul, the Lord of lords. Jesus says this remarkable proclamation because without sitting at His Table and dining on the meal He died to provide, you are not "In Communion" with Him. You can't get there 'according to your efforts or plans for salvation even if it includes prayer, Bible Study, good works and worship'.

He made it very very simple for people like me. He said, "Once you open that door to me I will come in and dine with you and you with me and I will never ever leave you or forsake you. If you go out for a walk I will come find you and carry you back home to continue our dialog. I have so much to share with you that I can't possibly get it done in your life time, so I need you for eternity. But I want to give you everything I can for right now. I know what you need and desire and if you will sit down with me I will show you all things and speak to you about who I am. I will share my secrets with you."

Can you imagine not wanting everything the Savior died to give you? His policy is total and Communion makes you feel like you are the only beneficiary! More important, once you have Communion at His Table you will never 'want' for anything, ever again.
But in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.

For I am convinced that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Romans 8:37-39
Picture
(Warning: If you forget to or don't come back to His Table there is a strange dynamic that seems to happen. It becomes easier and easier to forget. You would think something so miraculous, wonderful and powerful would be missed so much it would be like a magnet drawing you back, but something else happens. (See 2 Corinthians 4:18) When the enemy gets our focus back on the things of this life, blindness to heaven sets in and we forget "the remembrance". We forget to remember!

Its human nature. Jesus said our flesh as at war with His flesh. The enemy tries to revive our flesh so that it can fight Jesus again. So we must surrender it to Him. When He died we all died with Him. Now our life comes from Him and without Him we have no life.)

We believe that's one important reason why He said, "Do this... to remember Me"

If we don't, we forget and suddenly its 10 years later before we sit down at His Table again!

In other words Do this or you will forget:
To spend time with Me,
   To receive life from Me
      To know Me and
          or Me to know you

If your sole source for spiritual nourishment is not Jesus then you will feed on other stuff and you will not have His life in you - you will be going back to feeding on the tree of knowledge of good and evil like Adam and Eve - instead of the far more delicious fruit from the Tree of Life!

We do 'see' this fire with natural eyesight in the 'graphe' of the Scriptures. We also see in writings of the Early Church for example in the writings of St. Ephraim (Syriac Orthodox Church) 350 AD and others. However, nothing can replace the one-on-one personal time spend in the presence of the glory of Jesus where He shares His love and life with us. I believe this is a last days outpouring from heaven to bring the Church into Full Conversion. Personal, one-on-one time with Jesus at His Table.

+  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +  +
NOTE: We totally respect your personal commitments in Communion, Eucharist, Qurbana, The Lord's Supper. CommunionFire Ministries totally respects the ancient traditions of our Faith, Catholic tradition, The Liturgies, Church Constitutions, Book of common Prayer, of all the branches of Christendom including Protestant, Evangelical, Charismatic and Independent.

Our mission is to say, 'Don't just come and eat the bread and drink the wine as a memorial. Jesus is alive. He wants to spend time with you right now just as He did with His disciples when He walked on the earth. He is still in the flesh, but now it is the glorious flesh of his resurrected body that we eat from. But what the world once saw can now only be seen spiritually. That is why the Lord created Communion for us. Come to His Table, (The Alter, The mercy Seat of the Ark)  to feed on His presence. There is no more veil except for false veils the enemy tries to blind us with. See what Jesus wants to share with you as you eat the Bread of His Flesh, His Body. Then listen for the message of the Holy Spirit in drinking from the River of Life, the Wine of His Blood.

When you realize the reality of 2 Corinthians 3:18 then you will see the intention the Lord has for you at His Table. Just believe! You are eating the real food of Jesus Flesh and drinking the real drink of Jesus Blood. There is a reason. It ignites the fire of your spirit and you become alive in Christ when he is alive in you, physically and spiritually. It is now "Christ in you, the hope of glory! Being changed from glory to glory - by Him, not in your own strength.

It is Jesus who said, "Do this."

He told Paul "Do this"

On prayer He said "When you pray, Ask for your daily bread"

Then "If you do: you have (My) life in you, (My promise of) eternal life and I will raise you up on the last day... If you don't, you have no life in you."

Jesus said these things, so that's what I do!

One day it tastes like honey and clover, another day like prime rib and heaven's sweet wine and another day it will taste like a day at the beach on a festival of joy and gladness.

When Does Communion Become CommunionFire?

When you come to the Lord's Table and eat the Blessed Bread of His Flesh and Drink the Blessed Wine of His Blood, "The Holy Spirit will reveal My presence, bring My thoughts and words into your memory and show you things to come". That is why Jesus said, "Do this to remember Me." If you don't you may forget Him and you will not have His life in you. (John 6 and John 14-16)
In these latter days our experience with CommunionFire has provided a fresh way to see God’s purpose in renewal and revival through the personal, regular practice of having Communion with Jesus when we "do" as he asked. There is more to communion than a piece of bread and sip of grape juice.

Consider: Communion is something we do to give ourselves more fully to the Lord by celebrating His Supper, receiving the Eucharist or Qurbana.

Some have never been to the Lord’s Table.
Some have come once in their lives or even once or twice per year and on special occasions.
Some practice quarterly or monthly if that is the tradition of their denomination but most practice it weekly or daily.

I say most because Roman Catholics represent 1 Billion members worldwide, the Protestants, Evangelicals and Charismatics represent 800 Million world wide and the Orthodox represent 300 Million believers in the world today.

So, 1.3 Billion Christians practice Holy Communion Daily and Weekly because these traditions build their worship and liturgies around the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ as the true means the Lord provided for us to enjoy Communion with Him until He returns. We believe that part of the glorious matrix of signs and wonders pointing to His imminent return is a global Revival of the Central place the Lord’s Table has as the cornerstone dynamic to the faith of martyrs.

There has been more martyrdom in the past 4 years since the days of the Early Church. What will give the individual believer that kind of poise and strength of faith to choose Jesus over life?

Among a handful in South Carolina, there is a dimension to Communion that is changing lives and lifestyles where the miraculous is a daily experience. It is where the Lord Jesus Himself walks among us. So we have a very special reason to respond to the Savior’s invitation to “Do this.” (Eat His Body and Drink His Blood at His Table.)

John Wesley's polemic for Constant Communion in Sermon 101 (or as he also says ‘constant communication’) is that whether you ‘get’ something from it or not, you are at least ‘obeying the command of Christ. So, whether you understand it or not, you are better off ‘doing’ than ‘not doing’. But there is more.

Communion to most is a self-inflicted obedience in response to the Lord’s command. We think it is something we do as a Christian sacrament as a holy responsibility or good for our faith. We come to share ourself with the Lord. We come to receive the holy bread and grape juice or wine (to 'make Jesus happy'). And as Mr. Wesley would agree, if that is all it is enough!

But for the past 2 years, we have been experiencing something new.  Our experience is that Jesus invites us to His table not just to dine with Him but to dine on all He has prepared for us. There is a Holy Spirit dimension that takes place when:

1) I believe.
The Bread and Wine
Become the Flesh and Blood

 2) I do what He has invited me to do..
By eating and drinking

 3) He opens my eyes and to see His image.
He opens our eyes to recognize Him

 4) He speaks and I hear.
He speaks to us

 5) I understand.
Then share what He gives me with others

We come to Him not to give Him something but rather because He has so much He wants to share with us. We come to receive all that He has for us. He ‘makes us to lay down at his Table. We close our eyes and ears for a moment to our world to see and hear from the world to come. He wants to give us a taste of our eternal inheritance! He wants us to know his love, peace and joy now. In the process He transforms us in His glory from glory to glory.

 2 Corinthians 3:18

“The veil is removed as we look into His glory (as though looking into a mirror or flat screen’s darkness) where suddenly we see His image and we are transformed by what we see in His glory from one degree of glory to another by the Spirit who is the Lord.”

That word ‘image’ is the same word used at the Mount of transfiguration. They were changed by what they saw. In Communion. It is the word "Eikon". There are thousands of Orthodox Ikons - Holy Spirit inspired paintings of images of Jesus and His angels and saints. We call this 'an encounter' with the Lord in His CommunionFire!

We thought maybe this was an oddity until we met St. Ephraim of Syria from 350 AD – an early Church father who calls it the same thing. The Body of Jesus, when we eat, ignites us with the fire of medicine and revelation. (Turn on the light and you see what’s in the room.) Drinking the Wine there is Fire in the Blood of Jesus that is the quickening agent that raised Jesus from the dead. “If the same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead dwells in you, it will quicken your mortal body,”

In short – Eating the Flesh and Drinking the Blood of Jesus awakens us, quickens us and makes us alive to a personal relationship with Jesus making the Kingdom of Heaven a greater reality than this world that we live in. This is all temporary. What Jesus shares with us in CommunionFire is what eternity is going to be like. When you know that you know then His Love transcends anything this life has to offer.

Over the years of his long pontificate, Saint John Paul II’s personal fascination with the Holy Face of Jesus became a pastoral imperative. Already in 2001, he drew the eyes of the Church to the Face of Christ. At the closing of the Holy Door on January 6th of that year he said:

“Christianity is born, and continually draws new life from this contemplation of the glory of God
shining on the face of Christ.”
The Miracle of Veronica's Veil is interesting in light of this post. Just consider - the Miracle of the appearance of Jesus image in "on the veil not hidden behind it!" Just a further demonstration from heaven about the need we each have to encounter His image while feasting on His presence at His Glorious Table.

Other CommunionFire Encounters

Abraham having Communion with Melchizedek
Moses and the burning bush
Jesus at Transfiguration Mountain
Jesus at the house of Cleopas and Mary in Emmaus
Jesus in the Upper Room a few hours later
Jesus in the Ascension
The Day of Pentecost
Stephen the 1st Martyr while being stoned to death
Knocking Saul off his horse by the power of His glory
Jesus coming to Paul and explaining Communion to him
John on the Island of Patmos

Jesus sent the Holy Spirit to manifest His presence when we come to His Table and eat the Bread of his Body and Drink the Wine of His Blood. Upon eating the veil of this world, the temporal, is pulled back by the power of God so that we can spend a moment with Jesus. We see Him. He shares His presence with us. He shares His love and blessings with us. He speaks with us. It happens quickly but feels like eternity. We have fed on His presence and because we have we are no longer the same. We experience the miracle of transformation. He is always there. He will never leave us or forsake us. Come to the Table - I want to urge you! I want to compel you to come and just do as He asks. Bread to become His Flesh of revelation and Wine to become His Blood of salvation. Until He returns this is the place the Good Shepherd has prepared for you to spend some time with Him personally.

Bernie's Journeys by Bernard Arther "The Meeting"

Story Two: THE MEETING

The night before I left for MUSC (Medical University South Carolina in Charleston) for treatment I was sitting in my now empty row home. I sat on my only chair thinking and praying. It was Sunday August 31, 2014. I had battled, prayed and believed and put my full trust in the Lord for the 4th degree cancer in my liver. I had battled cancer before and came out on top. I kept my jobs working at the convention center and also as a barista at Fresh Brewed Coffee House. The coffee house was more family time than a job and it was where I could encourage and be encouraged. The time had come. I had to resign both positions, give away my furnishings and pack my bags. I was told it would be 6 months of aggressive therapy to allow medicine and the Doctors to help me in my neewest battle. Tomorrow I would settle into my new digs in Charleston after spending 4 years in Myrtle Beach.

While sitting there I suddenly felt compelled and energized to go for a final walk down to the 37th Street Beach to say good-bye to the ocean for a while.

I opened the door to a lovely evening. It was midnight and as I walked I thought about the many people I had encountered in recent years, the friends I made and those in need who the Lord let me help out from time to time. Now time was on my side, maybe in Charleston I could continue to reach out to my street peeps and the homeless.

When I arrived, there were a few people playing on the beach and in the ocean. There was a nice breeze. It was a perfect night! I watched, thought and prayed and then when everyone had gone home I was alone. I headed north away from the Big Wheel and the sand was unusually smooth. Then there was a hump in the sand perhaps from an eroded sand castle someone built during the day. I sat down and it was so peaceful.

Then I thought I heard, ‘Sit there. This spot was set for you.’  I knew I was heading into a rough journey but I also knew the Lord was with me. I thought this is a good way to spend my last moments and then all of a sudden, out of no where, I had “Super Peace”.

From the overwhelming sense of the "Super Peace", I heard myself say, “Wow! No pain!” I had absolutely no pain! “This is amazing!”

Could this be? No pain and total peace?

Then I had a chill.

A shiver went through my body as I peered out at the ocean. An arm came around me and a hand settled on my right shoulder. (Quick alarm – I thought, “I am I about to get mugged?”) I just sat for a minute. I realized that the hand on my shoulder was causing me to feel the best I had ever felt in my life!

Then I heard a calming voice, “You know, everything is going to be okay.”

The grip on my shoulder became a bit more firm as I heard the voice say, “Bernie… Everything is going to be okay.”

I said quietly, “Thank you.”

I waited for a minute and I said, “How do you know this?”

“Because, you prayed for it.”

I asked, “Is this Jesus?” Then I heard a little laugh.

I kind of liked His response as if, ‘pretty obvious, huh?’

I waited for a moment and then I said out loud, “Could I ask you one question?” There was a pause. It was a rather long pause and I began to think ‘Way to go Bernie, now you’ve crossed the line!’

Then I heard Him, “Yes. Ask me a question.”

“I guess my question to you would be: What would you say is the biggest change you would like to see in this world?”

There was another long pause. It was like two guys having a thoughtful conversation and there was no hurry, but the pauses still made me a little nervous.

I turned my head to look at Him for a moment. It was like I was trying to take a sneak peek. When I looked I saw a golden robe shimmering as it draped down over His knees down to the sand – like He was sitting knees up next to me on the little hill, to my left. It was like He wanted me to really know He was there.

Then He answered, “The biggest thing in the world is to love one another… to love one another.” It was as if He wanted to make sure that I got it right. Then He said a third time, “Yes, to love one another.”

Then it became quiet. I waited and prayed. Then I asked, “Lord, why me?”

I looked over and He was gone. I could feel His arm lift from around me and He was gone. I just stayed there. I didn’t want to leave. I wanted to stay there forever. Perhaps I was hoping He would come back. I was there for another hour. It was like a dream but it wasn’t a dream.

It was the most peaceful and pain-free time I ever had. His arm around me filled me with so much peace.

I’ve told other people about this, even people who had no faith. Because it’s real I can tell that they understand. They know what I am saying is true. They might think I am crazy but they also know what I am telling them is true.

A friend asked Bernie, “When you pray now do you have that peace?”

Bernie said, “I know what it is and I recognize it.”

This was a Campus Crusader who wanted Early Church authenticity - I was called into the ministry under the street preaching of this wonderful Man of God in Berkeley, CA in 1971. He was a founder of God's Love household for Street Christians, the publisher of the Jesus People's Movement called "Right On" and through an amazing series of transformations throughout his ministry He was a founder of The University of Orthodox Theology (now called St. Athanasius Academy of Orthodox Theology) and oversaw the creation of The Orthodox Study Bible before the Lord moved him to his new address in heaven. Thanks Fr. Jack N. Sparks, Ph.D The Witness of Jack and his estimed Associates from Grace Haven Farms, New Covenant Apostolic Order, The Evangelical Orthodox Churches and theis eventual assimilation into the Antiochian Orthodox Church of America is truely one of the Great Church Histories of the 20th and 21st Century.

Another significant influence in my life is the life and ministry of Winkey Pratney. His lifelong commitment to the study and application of Revival as both an apologist and polemicist raised the bar for me and he accomplished what I only dreamed - to Produce the Revival Study Bible. He has also been an intrinsic Man of God from the days of the Jesus People Movement and a part of my experience as a visiting teacher at Christ for the Nations in Dallas in 1975 and one of the principles in Y.W.A.M. Youth With A Mission that has had a direct impact on my sister, daughters, nephews and grandchildren. Thanks Brother Winkey for the legacy you have deposited into my life and the life of so many others.
